Shadehawk twitched his ears at the sound of mroowing with laughter he looked at his mate. Part of him wondered what was so funny. Part of him wanted to ask but knew she was probably thinking about something else. He simply shrugged it off with a flick of his tail. He let out a warm purr. He hoped for calico kits, he knew he wouldn't have a tom calico but perhaps a white tom with gray patches, or a gray tom with white patches the coloring of Hazelbrook was beautiful. All and all he would be happy either way.
"Stonekit, hopefully we have a tom, and the first born tom will look like him, we shall have to call him Stonekit, but now that we have that settled what do you find so darn funny Hazelbrook..." he mewed. He also wanted to know when this eventful process would take place. He was going to be a father...some day. Not today but one day. He looked out into camp."Hawkstar better watch out theres going to be Hazelbrooks and Shadehawks running around, ThunderClan won't know what hit them!":

Hazelbrook stiffled another mrrow of laughter, and instead, nodded. Even if one of their kits, or if they only had one kit, didn't resemble her father's looks, she'd name him Stonekit anyway, so that her Clan would never forget how courageous and loyal her was. Other names were flooding into her mind the more she thought about it. Birchkit, Frostkit, Maplekit... or Rosekit. She had always liked that name.
When Shadehawk asked what was so funny, she simply shook her head, smiling. "Nothing," she sniffed, raising her eyebrows as if challenging him to press her for answers. But she didn't give him time to answer. "As long as our Shadehawks and Hazelbrooks behave, ThunderClan won't have to know what hit them," she purred in amusement. Their kits would be wonderful, and even if they ever got into trouble, she'd love them either way. Both she and Shadehawk would love them no matter what.
For a heartbeat, Hazelbrook wondered if they would have a kit that resembled Shadehawk, she'd have an idea of what he looked like as a kit. Just thinking of it made her want to chase butterflies again, as she did when she was a kit. Maybe she could chase them with her kits - when and if they're born. Oh. She hadn't thought of this. How could she, after having such a lovely... well, almost lovely morning with Shadehawk, if you ignored the death of Shadeclaw.
What if she had complications? Difficulties with the kitting? What if, on the assumption they had more than one kit, one of them wouldn't make it? A shiver ran down Hazelbrook's spine, and for a moment, she was frightened. Say each of them were born healthy, but they'd grow up sooner or later, and battles must be fought and sacrifices had to be made in order to ensure the safety of ThunderClan. What if they died in battle? And if they didn't, seeing them return with ghastly wounds... it would be awfully difficult to keep herself from clawing whoever caused it apart. Now, she realized what kind of pressure she was about to put on both her and Shadehawk's shoulders.

Skyhawk just let out a long puur. Thunderclan did already have their paws filled with these two getting into loads of trouble. He thought about having a large group of kits and and couldn't help but let out a slight snicker."This is true love, but imagine an entire clan filled with Hazelbrooks and Shadehawks" He couldn't help but let a small smile form on his muzzle. He loved the idea of his kits getting into trouble. He would be a parent after all but that didn't mean he wouldn't be amused. His whiskers twitched and he thought back to something he over heard Hawkstar talking about awhile ago.
He was unsure of the situation and perhaps he heard the name wrong but there was an apprentice in need of a mentor. He had thought he heard his name. Biting his lip nervously he wondered if this would effect his relationship. Would Hazelbrook be angry? Would she hate him. All these things formed in his mind. Of course then his mind wandered back to his kits. Or the start of a family. He would tell her later. For all he knew it was just him hearing things.
"I would of course be a parent to them, but I would certainly be amused if they were trouble makers like ourselves." It's not that they were trouble makers, trouble just had a fun way of finding these two. Hopefully it didn't find them any time soon again. They have had enough for one moon. He cotinued to smile however because despite certain circumstances, it was a good day that just got better."I love you Hazelbrook/"

Hazelbrook purred at the thought. Alright, maybe the Clan would be just a little bit overwhelmed with so many of their kits wreaking havoc in the medicine cat den and just about every other den in general. Not to mention, more mouths to feed, due to the strange shortage of food. The calico warriors had inwardly been worrying that they wouldn't have enough food to spare for their un-born kits. But they'd think about that later. Now, they could just focus on being happy together. "I love you too," she purred softly, gingerly touching noses with him.
A voice suddenly sounded from the entrance to the warriors' den, startling her. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything," Ashcloud grinned at the mouth of the den, amusement written all over his face. "Hawkstar would like to see you, Shadeawk," he went on, whiskers twitching in curiosity. Hazelbrook nodded at the gray tabby tom and looked back at Shadehawk. "Well, get on with it."
Ashcloud watched the two, their actions confirming his guess that they had became mates. Hazelbrook was so gentle, and Shadehawk was a rather solitary tom. What an odd couple, indeed. Would he and Auburnstripe be like that? He liked the way things were now, not as... soft and sincere things were with Hazelbrook and Shadehawk. Not that he minded, but it was just a thought.

Shadehawk let out a warm purr but that was quickly interuppted. Tom dark colored tom raised a brow when Ashcloud appeared in the den. Hawkstar wanted him? He let out a nervous gulp. Either this would be about Shadeclaw, which he did try his hardest to save the tom, or perhaps he would receive a large grattitude....an apprentice. He tok in a breath and gave his mate a quick lick between the ears."I will be right back Hazelbrook, Ill be quick..." he mewed as he followed Ashcloud out of the den.
His eyes fell quickly on Hawkstar. He looked at his paws nervously before making eye contact with the tom. He didn't want to say anything at first, but when there was only silence, Shadehawk parted his jaws to speak."You wanted to see me Hawkstar?"

Hazelbrook merely nodded and felt a bit disappointed that he had to leave, her fur growing cold from where his body had been. She sighed, and thanked Ashcloud for going out of his way to inform Shadehawk about his meeting with Hawkstar. Once the gray tabby left, along with her mate, she wondered what Hawkstar could possibly want with him. Something told her it might have to do with Shadeclaw, and the rest, well, she had no clue. He would tell her when he returned, she decided.
Hawkstar pered his ears and lifted his head to see Shadehawk pad into his den, a rather nervous look on his face. The large, tabby tom cleared his throat before speaking. "Sit down, Shadehawk. We have an important issue that needs to be discussed," he rasped bluntly, face expressionless. He wouldn't ask about Shadeclaw. He knew better than to question his warriors, especially Shadehawk. He was a loyal, and brave tom; a warrior that made Hawkstar wish he had ten more of him.
"It is about your apprentice. You've shown your loyalty and strength, and I think you're ready to take on the responsibilities of being a mentor." Hawkstar wondered how Shadehawk would take the news. His intuition told him that he would be delighted, of course. He'd seen the mottled brown tom look at other apprentices with a hopeful gleam in his eye, as if pondering which one would be his, some day. Hawkstar had just the cat in mind for him.

Shadehawk took in a nervous breath of air when Hawkstar said there was important things to discuss. He simply nodded. He knew this would be the end of him, he knew for a fact that he wouldn't be leaving his den. His brown eyes grew large with worry."Important..." He mewed back just dipping his head. Oh he was going to get it now.
The things that came out of the toms mouth next almost completely surprised him. He had been watching Whitepaw for awhile giving her advice but he wasn't 100% her mentor yet. He was a tom of solitude beliefs so he didn't want to show his excitement all the way. His eyes gleamed brightly when his leader complimented him as a warrior. It made him feel good after todays events. The tom let out a sigh of relief and just nodded.
"Are you possibly referring to whitepaw hawkstar? She is a wonderful apprentice and I would be more than honored to oversee her training as a mentor. I will make her a warrior that you could be proud of Hawkstar, and I thank you for the opprotunity." The tom mewed. His eyes gleaming brightly.

Hawkstar's whiskers twitched in annoyance as Shadehawk began to ramble on about Whitepaw and how he would make her a great warrior. "Silence!" he growled, fixing his hard glare on the mottled, brown warrior before him. He was simply not in the mood for this childish behavior. "I am choosing your apprentice," he meowed flatly, eyes narrowed and his tail-tip twitching with agrivation. "You are dismissed."
Outside of Hawkstar's den, Hazelbrook paced in circles, nervous and curious of what Hawkstar had told Shadehawk. She was close enough to hear her leader growl, "You are dismissed." She swallowed anxiously. That didn't sound like a good sign at all. Were they discussing the issue with Shadeclaw? Was Hawkstar suspicious of her mate? Of course, not! Shadehawk was a loyal tom, with nothing but good intentions. But still, Hawkstar's word was law...
When Shadehawk came out, Hazelbrook quickly padded up to him, her eyes wide with worry. "What did he say? Are you alright? Did he ask about Shadeckaw?" she blurted out, the sound of her voice coming out faster than she had time to think of what to say next. Hazelbrook truly was worried about Shadehawk. Had he been exiled, even? A shudder ran down her spine at the thought. No, it wasn't his fault! Shadeclaw was the one who killed himself, not Shadehawk. But what if Hawkstar didn't believe him? Oh, this couldn't be happening...

Shadehawk pulled his ears back and his eyes widened. He hadn't meant to he was just excited. he blinked a few times before his tail landed between his legs and he found himself running quickly out of his den. He didn't want to be in that den any more. He felt sorry for the deputy. He could only imagine how that would be. He ruffled his fur and spotted his hate who came to greet him.
The tom touched his tail to her flank and let his fur lower. His ears perked up again. He was glad that she was here and that she came out to wait for him. He took a nervous gulp and parted his jaws to speak."No he didn't bring Shadeclaw up thank goodness. I was afraid I would have been kicked out or punished so harshly I would want to leave Thunderclan, but no that wasn't mentioned and honestly I don't know if I would have been able to handle it if he did. he mewed.
He let out another sigh and started again."I've been overseeing Whitepaw's training since she doesn't have a proper mentor, Hawkstar said I was ready for the FULL responsiblities for of a mentor and honest to goodness Hazelbrook I thought he meant Whitepaw. I said I would make Whitepaw a good warrior.....but he got angry about it...I mean.... he knew I was over seeing Whitepaw's training...." he muttered.
The tom took a breath and continued. It was my mistake though Hazelbrook I got over excited I just hope that he still gives me an apprentice....and I really hope it's whitepaw...she has so much potential to be good warrior and I kind of want to be the one to train her..."
