Wrinklewind let in a long breath. "Its just beautiful. All the trees and plants and pray. There is nothing better then being out in the forest." She narrowed her eyes and looked down at the kit, "You'll be out there soon, exploring and seeing the borders. I'd love to be there for your first time out, because there is no greater excitement then the feeling of freedom you get when you leave camp." She thought for a moment, "Except maybe becoming a warrior." She almost wished she could take Rainkit out now on a little adventure, but she was to uneasy with her position in the clan to take that risk. She thought it a shame really, that kits were forced to wait so long to get to see the world they live in.

"Wow" Rainkit breathed, curling her lips up into a wide, happy grin. It did sounded beautilful...plants she've ever seen before, new trees to climb, and sweet-smelling flowers to find...it all seemed beautiful. "Wrinklewind, did you see what was beyond ThunderClan's terriorty?" the gray-blue she-kit suddenly, wagging her tail faster. Rainkit started daydreaming, imaging what else was beyond there...

Wrinklewind nodded. "Sure, I've seen fourtrees, Bits of windclan territory, and riverclan. Honestly I havent been far past the border of shadowclan. That was one battle I was happy it didnt get any further in. Shadowclan is like a giant swamp!" She made a face of disgust. All she could remember from that day was the horrible taste of rotting mud from washing her skin off. "I've even been to moonstone once, I never went in though just guarded the cave mouth." Yet there was so much she hadn't seen. So many places she didnt even know existed. There was a world beyond this forest that she would probably never know. So while her list of places she'd been seemed fairly good, Wrinklewind always wished she could see more.

Smokesight felt pride in being able to make the kits day just by catching a squirrel. He dipped his head in return to Rainkit. "Hello Rainkit," He mewed kindly. He looked back over at Falconkit, "Why dont you share some with your sister? You cant possibly eat that whole squirrel its nearly as big as you!" Finding one that had been so fat and well fed had been a total blink of luck for him. he than addressed his mews to Nettlepaw "How is your training going?" He asked politely. He ignored his growling stomach, set off no doubt by the smell of the squirrel Falconkit was devouring next to him. Nettlepaw smiled cheerfully at Smokesight and puffed out his chest in pride. "It's going great! Runningleap says I'll be a warrior soon!" he squeaked in excitement, his tail lashing happily.
He couldn't wait to be a warrior! Finally, he wouldn't have to do chores like cleaning out the elders' bedding, or getting moss for Fallensnow. More importantly though, he would get to hunt by himself and do more responsible warrior duties. Lost in thought, he almost didn't hear the conversation Falconkit, Rainkit and Wrinklewind had already dived into.

Smokesight dipped his head, "That's really good!" He mewed in praise. It would be nice to have new bodies in the warriors den, especially since new apprentices seemed to be moving into the apprentices den by the barrel full. That also reminded him that he needed to go find his apprentice, Sunnypaw, and take her out for some training. "You'll make a great warrior." He added, "I think I'm going to see if I can find Sunnypaw now," He dipped his head to the young apprentice and gave Falconkit a playful flick of the ear with his tail, then padded off.

Nettlepaw's silver-gray eyes brightened and his grin widened at Smokesight's praise. "You think so? Thanks!" he squealed in pride, his tail lashing happily. Would he really make a good warrior? He would certainly try his best, that was for sure. "I think she's in the apprentices' den," Nettlepaw chirped, pointing with his tail at the tree stump which was the entrance to a circle of bushes that served as the apprentices' den.

"It sounds amazing out there! I can't wait to be an apprentice!" Rainkit meowed, jumping to her paws. "I hope my mom or my dad mentors me!" the she-kit chirped, wagging her brushy tail back and forth in a fruzzy. "Hey Rainkit, which one do you think Mom will like better?" Falconkit suddenly appeared beside his sister, holding a mouse and a shrew by thier tails in his mouth. "Ummm," Rainkit looked from Wrinklewind, to Falconkit, to the pieces of prey.

Smokesight smiled and dipped his head to Nettlepaw, "Thank you I'll go look for her there," He padded off and disappeared into the apprentices den. [gone] Wrinklewind smiled encouragingly at Rainkit, though she knew in her mind that it was very rare that a kit got one of its parents as a mentor in fear that they would be too soft on their own kit. "You don't have to wait too much longer, the time will go by quickly." She turned her gaze to the kit with two pieces of over-sized pray in his jaws. "My vote is for the shrew, Falconkit." She mewed, "It smells like it was just caught and I'm sure your mother would appreciate some warm prey."

Falconkit put a paw on his chin, looking at both the mouse, and shrew. "Hmm......shrew it is! Thanks Wrinklewind!" the lynx-point tom said, grabbing the shrew by the tail, and hurrying off to the Nucrsy; leaving the mouse behind. Rainkit glanced at Wrinklewind. "You read my mind Wrinklewind, I was voting on the shrew. Umm," she looked at the mouse, then back at the furless warrior. "Want to share the mouse?" she offered.

Wrinklewind smiled down at the kit, Sure, Rainkit, I'd love to share with you. She really liked Rainkit, she seemed like a very goodhearted little cat. She reached down and took a small bite, then backed away a bit so Rainkit could have some. Licking her lips she mewed, So when do you become an apprentice? She never really kept track of the kits in the nursery. with all of her running and crazy routines to stay warm, she didnt tend to have to time for it.

After Wrinklewind took a bite, Rainkit grabbed one herself. "In a moon. Momma says I'm five moons old, and kits become apprentices at six moons. Is that right?" the blue-gray kit asked, looking up at Wrinklewind. She liked Wrinklewind, she was nice despite having no fur at all. She wondered if the she-cat ever had an apprentice before.

Wrinklewind nodded "Yes, you have just a moon left then" she purred. She thought back to the two apprentices she had helped to become warriors. "Your mentor is going to love you, whoever you get. Far better behaved then the two apprentices I had to break in" She complemented gently. Wrinklewind was starting to get cold again, so she shifted her weight and angled most of her body toward the sun so she could try and absorb the warmth. Having no fur was a pain in the paw! "My other two, they were more like your brother. Boundless energy and absolutely no listening skills. They thought they knew it all. She twitched her whiskers in amusement.
