A silver tabby walked to the river, to get some nice tasty carp. She licked her lips at the thought. When she got there she bent down and put her paw in the water. Suddenly she was in the water going downstream. Lillyfrost was scared and saw a cat, Duskflight! Duskflight, Help! She cried as she went down the stream.

It was well before sunhigh, but far past dawn. The sun was beating down hard on the orange tom, giving his fur the look of fire, illuminating every last strand. He's thought about hunting, but figured the fish would be more abundant in the river because they would be searching for a cool place to rest from the sun's burning hot rays. The orange tom padded calmly and slowly through the grass, letting the still slightly dewy ground sink into his paws.
He reached the river and lapped several tongue-fulls before he heard his name. His light grey eyes looked up from his reflection in the river and saw a pretty silver she-cat floating downstream. It was his instinct to jump in and rescue her, and that's just what he did. The massive tom plunged deep into the water, opening his eyes under the surface. Duskflight had figured out he swam faster under the water, rather than half his body on top and half his body underneath.
In hardly anytime at all, the tom had reached the she-cat and he plopped up from under her. He grabbed Lillyfrost's scruff and easily pulled her out of the water and up onto the river bank next to Sunningrocks. He took a few steps back and shook out his fur. A disadvantage to such long fur was that it soaked up more water. Eating the fish, though, made it less susceptible to getting to wet, and encouraged it to dry faster.
"Lillyfrost! Are you alright...?" Duskflight ran back up to the she- cat and awaited her response. He knew she couldn't be that bad, since she had called his name in the water, and seemed to be breathing fine. The first thing RiverClan kits were taught was to check to see if the victim is breathing. If they are, then they will be fine. It all depends on how much water they inhaled.

Lillyfrost saw him jump in and then blacked out. When she opened her eyes she saw her mother, Her dead mother. She thought she was dead and in starclan. Am I dead? She asked her mother. This was the first time in over 3 moons that she had seen her mother. Tears formed as she got closer to her mother. No Lillyfrost, you're not, Just please be careful and this male is the one you are looking for Auroraleaf said and then dissapeared.
When the silver tabby opened her eyes she looked at Duskflight, This male is the one you are looking for Her mother's words rang through her mind. She blinked and then saw that he was saying her name. I'm fine, thanks for rescuing me. The current was a little bit to strong She said.

Duskflight took a step back when she started to move, and circled up next to her head when she began to speak. He nodded and smiled, glad she was okay. "Y'know, can't let pretty she-cats like you go drowning, now, can I?" he joked. The orange tom looked over at the fast-flowing river, and then took a leap up onto Sunningrocks.
They were warm as always, and he checked Lillyfrost over the edge of the rock one more time. He gestured for her to jump up with him. He figured it would be good to dry her fur. Duskflight looked across the the TunderClan territory. They're all mouse-hearted cowards when it came to swimming. he thought. The idea of a ThunderClan warrior attempting to fish made him smile.

Lillyfrost watched as duskflight went on to sunningrocks. I wonder if thunderclan will try to take them back or if they are to scared to. She thought to herself. Then she shook her body trying to get all the water off. When she went to leap her back paws slipped from the rock. She thought she was going to go into the river again but she didn't, she just made it onto sunning rocks.
You think i'm pretty she blushed. Then a purr came out of her chest, that compliment made her day better. Well Im glad a handsome cat like you saved me she said.

Lilyfrost looked pleased when he complimented her. Good, because if she were modest I wouldn't know what to do. He smiled when she called him handsome. "Then I guess we both got lucky if you think I'm handsome," he said. Duskflight stretched out, yawning. There was absolutely nothing he liked more than sunning himself on the warm rocks.
The orange tom sat down on the rocks, tail resting on the rock beside him as if he were asking her to sit by him. "Lilyfrost, do you want to hunt? Maybe for something other than fish?" he asked teasingly. That was what he'd originally come out for, anyways. He scanned the forest for some prey, listening intently for her voice and the scuffling of a smal furry animal.

The tabby she-cat looked at him and smiled at what he said. Then she looked at her paws. Why did her mother come to her? she asked herself. Why did she have to leave. Then she looked up at Duskflight and smiled again. Sounds good to me. How about having alittle fun too. she said. Now she was sounding like her brother. Did she really want to get into trouble? Her mother taught her better but without her, her brother was teaching her all the wrongs.

Well, what do you mean by fun? Duskflight was always playing small pranks on other cats, and he knew which ones did not like it and which ones didn't mind, but it all depended on what she wanted to do. At the moment, though, he wanted to hunt. He needed to contribute to the Clan, for he had not done so yet today. Before Lilyfrost could respond, he put his tail to his lips as if telling her to stay silent. He slowly turned his head to the left, spotting a plump squirrel.
Standing up, the large orange tom carefully picked his way down the rocks. He pressed only as hard as necessary upon the soft dirt, making sure as not to crunch any dry strands of grass, as doing so could easily scare the prey. He crouched lower and lower until his belly fur was just barely touching the ground, and hid behind a low-rising bush. The black squirrel was busy cracking nuts, but it looked nervous. Like it knew something was nearby, prowling the flora, waiting for the perfect moment to strike the unsuspecting creature...
He peeked above the bush ever so gently, the image of the squirrel slowly making its way above the green leaves. Duskflight then jumped over the bush, landing just a mouse-tail away form it. The black squirrel then raced to the nearest tree. which was at least a fox- length away, but Duskflight's reflexes were sharp. He turned at a nearly impossible angle and dashed after the prey, pouncing on it before it could set all four paws onto the brown bark. The fat thing could feed the two of them, but he'd have to find something more for the Clan later. Duskflight smiled proudly.

Well, what do you mean by fun? That strucked her. He didn't know what kind of fun she was talking about. She sat there as he hunted and thought. What I ment was. She started to say and then thinking about it. Would you like to be my mate? She asked him. She sat there and watched him catch the squirrel. That was a good catch She purred. Lillyfrost looked around to see if there was anything else to hunt but she didn't see anything or hear anything.
