The warm new leaf sun was shimmering through the bramble den as a dainty silver she-cat slept. Twitching as her dreams ran rampant in her mind, tearing her from sleep and making her clumsily from her nest, narrowly avoiding other cats around her. Her silver fur was puffed out and her blue eyes were wide with her anxiety; as she sat back into her nest licking her chest fur and leg calmingly. Her mind cautiously wondered back to her dreadful dream; her peers had been tormenting her, when suddenly a dog was attacking her and a strange shadowy form, her brother. They fought bravely protecting a kit; their goal was achieved but at the cost of his life.
Shaking the thought carefully from her thoughts she stood on her strong sturdy legs, and strode confidently from the den. Once outside her den she glanced around looking to see who else was up, ]‘No one is ever up when I get up.’ She thought smiling to herself. Her bright blue orbs scanned the clearing and rested on the low prey pile. ‘Hmm, I think some hunting would help the clan get back in shape after that rash leaf bare.’ Her thoughts lingered in her slow sleepy mind.
Stretching her muscles out sighing softly as her joints and ligaments popped into place loosening up. Moving carefully and quietly she strode out of camp dipping her head to the sentry. Flexing her claws into the ground as she slowly picked up speed heading away from camp and into the rocky hills over her clan. Once she had put a decent amount of land between her and her clan she slowed; sniffing the air she dropped to a hunters crouch. The smell of rabbit was heavy in the air, and she was hot on its trail. Pausing to pin-point its’ location; she readied herself for the pounce. Swaying her hips and shoulders lightly she lunged landing square on the creature. Before she could deliver a killing bite it kicked its massive foot connecting with her face, knocking her off balance, and taking advantage of her blunder, the hare sprinted away.
Shaking her head briefly she tore off after the brown haired animal. Her legs stretched as far as they possible could, her paws thundered the ground, and her sharp talons tore at the ground. Her mind swirled with the thrill of the chase. Her heart pounded, and blood roared wildly in her silver ears. She swerved around rocks and other debris, hard on the hare’s tracks. Bundling her muscles into a great heap, she flung herself at the fleeing feast. Her claws and teeth hit their mark, tearing into its supple flesh; sending them rolling and fighting down the hill a ways. The lifeless bundle that was her kill stopped the decent with its body thumping into a rock. Standing she meowed triumphantly to herself, but paused to scent the air checking where she had ended up and what was around her.

Kestrelpaw bounded across the moore, his eyes narrowed and his claws unsheathed. His intense gaze was focused on a bundle of gray that was always a fox-length ahead of him. But soon enough, his luck changed and now his claws were barely a hair away from bringing the rabbit down. His yellow eyes gleamed with determination as the rabbit began to panick. Suddenly, his prey disppeared, and instead of a rabbit in front of him, it was Feathersky.
But he was already running too fast, and he didn't have a chance to stop himself. His entire weight crashed into Feathersky head-on, sending them both tumbling to the ground. His hackles raised even before he rose to his paws. "Feathersky!" he spat in rage, claws digging into the ground. "You blind mouse-brain! Watch where you're standing!" he hissed, lips drawn back in an irritated snarl.
Is she so stupid that she didn't see me coming? he thought to himself, tail lashing angerly. His fur was bristling all over and he gave his chest a few licks to flatten the ruffled patch of fur on it. "Do you know what you just did?" he growled, briefly turning away in hopes that he might see which direction the rabbit fled in. To his annoyance, he couldn't find it anywhere. "You just lost a decent rabbit for your Clan! You need to grow some eyes for once," he sniffed in contempt, eyes narrowed in a glare.
