Redbramble had a long day. He had run into Eaglescreeth earlier that day from his hunting delima. He wasn't the best hunter ever and he proved that earlier. He hated being a warrior, but he didn't want to be a medicine cat. With a shake of his paw he curled up in his nest. He let out a snort. Life wasn't what he wanted to be. He was timid, and not many liked him. He wasn't very useful. The fact that Blizzardstar even gave him a warrior name was shocking. With a slight whimper. the tom curled up in his nest and went to sleep.
Rebramble's eyes fluttered open. He wasn't in his den anymore. Where was he? He looked around and the timid tom began to shake. Was in the dark forest? Was the dark forest here to train him to be a better warrior? The poor tom was shaking in his fur. He didn't like where he was and he wanted to go back into his nest where he could be nice and warm and sleep.
"Don't worry young one. You are in Starclan, there is nothing to worry about here you are safe and sound in your nest." It was a melodic voice of a she-cat. Her name was whitetail. She happened to be Redbrambles grandmother."I am here to tell you that you have a destiny that isn't the current path you walk Redbramble." The she-cat mewed while looking into the toms eyes."You are meant to fix the injured, and make the sick better."She mewed. Her blue eyes began to sparkle."You were meant to be the next medicine cat, however, Emberpaw was as well and there was no way the medicine cat could have two apprentices."
She started to gather her thoughts again as she looked at Redbramble. Would he willingly start his training all over again?"When Windclan's past medicine cat past on we decided soon we would come to you in a dream. You will be mentored from Starclan, however, it's your challenge to pass on what we teach you in your dreams to young Emberpaw." Whitetail mewed."Are you up for that challenge Redbramble?"
The tom looked at her wit eyes wide. Starclan was coming to him in a dream? Did that make him special? He thought for a few more moments. No he was supposed to be the medicine cat. That's why they came here. Redbramble sighed and gave a curt nod. He would be able to help his clan somehow."Yes Whitetail. I'm ready....."
Redbrambles eyes fluttered opened. In Starclan's eyes he was officiallty the medicine cat of Windclan. However, to make it official to his clan he would have to travel to moonstone with Emberpaw. He still had to have a ceremony where his rights to heal and mentor would be given. The birds were chirping and the air was fresh, it was like a whole new day. He stepped out of his den and spotted Blizzardstar. He would have to tell his brother Ravenglide as well his new path choice, Hopefully he wouldn't be upset since they wanted to be warriors together.
With a nervous breath of air he padded up to Blizzardstar. The small tom coughed and than began to speak."Blizzardstar. I received a dream from Starclan last night....I wish to be the Medicine cat of Windclan. With your Permission I ask that you allow me to travel to moonstone with Emberpaw so I may have the right to continue her training and have the right to heal our clan." he mewed. He didn't mean to be so upfront but he didn't have a clue how to word what he wanted to say.
"You know I'm not a good hunter and I'm too timid to fight, yet you gave me a warrior name anyways. and for that I thank you, but I'm not happy Blizzardstar, I know the warrior code, and I know I'm not allowed to have a mate, and I'm okay with that. I just want to be happy again and know that' i'm doing my clan some good."
