Shadehawk woke up earlier than usual. He blinked his eyes a few times before looking around. His mate was still sleeping soundly. He stood up and stretched somehow managing not to hit anyone. The tom licked the she-cat between the ears."I'll be back after training with Whitepaw..." the tom whispered. He managed to avoid not stepping on tails and padded into the clearing, A light mist was rising from the rain fall that happened the night before. He shook his somewhat damp fur and found himself walking towards the fresh kill pile.
Shadehawk picked a decent sized mouse and he thanked StarClan for it because prey was so scarce in all the clans. He was shocked that the clans weren't fighting yet. He at the mouse quickly and found his tongue swiping around his muzzle. Afer he was done the tom made his way to the apprentices den at a slower pace. If he woke Whitepaw now, they would be done by sun high leaving the she-cat time to rest and of course letting Shadehawk having time with his mate.
Shadehawk raised a brow. He didn't even know what he would teach her today. This was technically his first apprentice. the other one he simply oversaw. He learned to be a mentor by watching a mentor teach. On days that the mentor was ill Shadehawk was able to take the apprentice out. The tom of solitude and one of not so many words poked his nose in the apprentices den. His whiskers twitched and he parted his jaws to speak."Whietpaw, it is time to go, eat something and we can leave."
Shadehawk was still the bottled up tom who still had that dark and angry demeanor, the don't cross me type of cat. He curled his lip back before retreating to the center of the camp where he wrapped his tail around his paws. Only Hazelbrook knew his soft side, and that's the way it would stay....for now.
