The sound of rushing water woke Sparrowpaw from her sleep, blinking her eyes open in confusion. She glanced around, half expecting to find herself outside of camp, but she distinguished the walls of the apprentices' den, and the figures of sleeping bodies around her. But why did it sound like they were right by the river?
When she emerged from the protection of the den, the apprentice was immediately pelted with cold droplets of rain, hitting her hard, like chips of ice. She flinched and tried to duck away from it, but the rainfall was heavy. Heavier than usual... what was going on? The sound of rushing water nearby, heavy rainfall... then it hit her. A storm was progressing, and RiverClan was right in the heart of it.
Sparrowpaw dashed off toward the medicine den, heading for the stream that the Clan used for water and teaching kits how to swim. But when she took one step over the slope that rolled down by the stream's shore, she finally noticed how high the water level was. And not just high, it was right at her paws. This must mean that it had already reached Aspenfrost's den.
The apprentice just turned when Aspenfrost quickly escaped form the medicine cat den, nearly bumping into Sparrowpaw. "Sparrowpaw, what's happening? I suddenly woke up, and there was water everywhere!" she asked, eyes wide with fear. Sparrowpaw's heart was racing and her mind was reeling. She didn't want to believe it herself, as if it was just a bad dream; but it wasn't.
"It's a storm! The river is flooding!"
Aspenfrost gasped and yowled a warning at the top of her lungs, to alert the Clan. Slowly, cats began to emerge from their dens, glancing around nervously. As Aspenfrost and Sparrowpaw began to inform the other cats quickly of what was happening, panic started like a wildfire. Oh, no! We'll never get out of this if we run around like blind mice! Sparrowpaw thought desperately. They needed Brindlestar. Or even Thistlefire, if he could even manage to support them in at a time like this. The island that hosts RiverClan's camp will be submerged in water in a matter of moments. They had to leave, now.

Brindlestar, Whitefrost A loud yowl pierced the quiet night air, 'It's a storm! The river is flooding!' The large bengal she-cat lept to her paws and bounded out of her den, not even pausing to shake the scraps of moss from her pelt. As she charged out of her den she saw some cats stumbling out of their dens and came straight to the figures of Sparrowpaw and Aspenfrost. "Aspenfrost, get the elders out of their den, Sparrowpaw fetch the queens. Hurry!"Looking around at her bedraggled clan she let out a powerful yowl, "Everyone out, Now!" Turning on her paws she bounded towards the camp entrance to make sure everyone left. Is StarClan angry with us? Why have they cursed us so? The large white tom had pushed past his clanmates and came to a skidding halt in the camp clearing, looking at his leader he yowled, "I'll get the apprentices!" Creampaw had to be okay, she just had to be. He pushed over to the den, fighting through the throng of cats and yowled into the den, "Flood, Out, Now! Closing her eyes, only for less than a heartbeat Brindlestar prayed to her warrior ancestors. She prayed that her clan would be spared and that no one would be lost...

Snowpaw/Fangshatter The white she-cat woke up from the comotion. She felt her paws damp and looked around. Cloudwing? she wimpered. She got up and walked out of the den to see everyone running around frantically. What's going on? she thought. Where is Cloudwing?
Fangshatter was having a nightmare and it was a good thing that the comotion woke him up. He jolted and jumped up out of his nest. He walked out of the warriors den to see that the camp was being flodded from the river. He saw his leader and walked over to her. Brindlestar, Is starclan mad at us? he asked.

Lillyfrost woke up and looked around, her fur was a little wet but not too much from the camp being flooded. What is going on? She thought. She saw that her brother, Fangshatter was gone. The tabby she-cat quickly ran out of the den and saw her brother standing next to the leader. Thank Starclan he is alright. she thought. Fangshatter, why didn't you wake me up? I know I herd the comotion and everything but please don't scare me like that. she said to Fangshatter, her eyes filled with worry.

Everything was fine and wonderful in the world the tom was currently residing in. He was at peace with the world at the moment, finally falling asleep. The tom was as far back in the den as possible, ignoring how the older apprentices had complained. But they had known about his fear by now. Sure he was a new apprentice, but he had been well known as a kit from all of his family drama. Reedpaw was currently sleeping through the storm that was brewing. When he had fallen asleep it had been barely raining, and that had sent the tom into hysterics. He was highly afraid of anything relating to water and rain was no exception. The tom had finally fallen asleep after much shaking and whimpering. But when the voice of a cat approached the den and told them to all wake up, Reedpaw jolted up and looked around. Where were his siblings?
The black furred tom was highly afraid at this point. He couldn’t go out into the rain. He just couldn’t. Reedpaw was now shaking once again and doing whatever possible to avoid this. The young tom was flat out refusing to move. Right now he was limp with terror written all over his face. He didn’t care about a flood, right now he was dry in the den and didn’t have to go outside. Shaking his head from side to side he had made a decision. Reedpaw was going to stay put, nothing was going to make him move.
----------------------------------------------------
Having such a nice dream, and in her own little world, Creampaw was settled near the middle of the den. Being half-way through her training, she had her nest toward the middle of the den. The cream colored apprentice was currently deep in dreamland and loving every minute of it. Lately she had been training hard, and she was trying to surpass everyone. She was already ahead of the apprentices her age, and Creampaw was determined to keep it that way. When she came back from training she would just crash. The young apprentice needed all the rest she could, and was loving that she was being pushed hard.
Being awoken by her mentor’s voice she had thought it meant that he was ready to go out training again, but no Whitefrost mentioned something about a flood? When she finally registered what he had said, she was quickly up and out of the den. Looking up at her mentor she didn’t show fear, just concern. ”What are we going to do? Where are we going?” she mewed, asking the questions that came to mind. Surely they couldn’t stay here, the island would flood quickly and it would be impossible for anyone to survive. Not even the toughest cat could make it through this. ”Whitefrost, do you think all the other clans are okay?”
she asked, worry soon on her face. Would her family in ThunderClan be okay? Yes she didn’t like the way that she was treated, but still she still missed her sibling and mother. -------------------------------------------------------- Squirrelkit was curled into a tight ginger ball. The little kit actually looked quite well, it seemed that all of the practice swimming with her father had done wonders for her health. The tiny kit had become a little stronger and there were traces of muscles forming on her body. Yes, she was still scrawny and runt-like, but she was gaining a little weight. The tiny kit had a wonderful nest at the moment, and had pretty much fallen asleep out of pure exhaustion. All of that swimming practice had worn her out. But it had been worth it. Her father had been so proud of her, she had loved to see him look so happy and he had praised her. Even Frostheart, her sister, had come and watched her swim. Squirrelkit had been so excited to show off her new skills, she had worn herself out. All of the screaming and yelling going on in the camp woke the tiny kit up. Blinking around she got onto her paws and wandered to just poke her head out of the nursery. She felt rain on her fur and let out a mewl of surprise. She wasn’t scared of the water, she had not realized how much it was raining. A grin stretched across her face. Mommy hadn’t been excited with her lately. She had seen that the kit was getting muscle on her frail body, and was determined to change that. Maybe if Squirrelkit were more like her siblings and was brave, she could convince her mommy that she was not a weakling, that she could be just like them. After making her decision, the kit snuck out of the nursery and went toward the territory. She wanted to see this flooding, and was going to swim in it. Mommy would have to like her then, right?[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Brindlestar As her clan bolted out of the den and into the pouring rain. She watched, he eyes full with grief at the destruction of her clan's home. She almost missed Fangshatter's question, and blinked her eyes confusedly at him for a moment before she realized what he was suggesting. "I don't know. Fangshatter- go help everyone. Get everyone out of camp." She jerked her head at Lilyfrost as she bounded up, " "You too. Get everyone rounded up here." Turning her head up to the sky, she stared at the storm clouds. Had RiverClan made StarClan angry? Shaking her head, she turned her attention back to her terrified clan and thought of one apprentice in particular. "Lilyfrost! Nevermind, I have a different job for you. I want you to make sure Reedpaw gets out of the camp. You know how is about water." Turning her eyes on the rest of her clan as they slowly scrammbled out of their dens, she yowled once more, "We shall move closer to FourTrees! At least up that slope the flood shouldn't reach there, but it would be a long journey for her elders and queens. What if someone doesn't make it? Whitefrost As his apprentice stumbled out of her den, Whitefrost briefly touched his muzzle to her ear. The young she-cat was brave, and he thanked StarClan for her inner strength. Addressing the she-cat's questions he replied, "Brindlestar said to move close to Fourtrees, and I'm not sure about the other clans but I'm sure Brindlestar wouldn't mind us checking on your mother. She understands how you feel." The white tom was never fond of half-clan cats until he met Creampaw. She was just so strong and special to him, and she wasn't going to let anyone treat her different for her parents indiscretions. Her parents mistakes weren't hers. Briarmoon The grey tabby she-cat had been dreaming a peaceful dream, and she awoke with a start. Why was Brindlestar yowling? It wasn't even dawn yet. When the she-cat had went to her nest, it was raining heavily. Did Brindlestar yowl something about a flood? Pushing out of her nest wearily, she stumbled to the edge of the den brushing into her clanmates as she went to wake them. There Brindlestar was standing near the entrance, so Briarmoon trotted towards her, dipping her head to her leader she mewed quickly, "I'll make sure all the warriors get out. " With that she tore off back to the den, and began nosing everyone else awake.

Closing her eyes, only for less than a heartbeat Brindlestar prayed to her warrior ancestors. She prayed that her clan would be spared and that no one would be lost... Both Aspenfrost and Sparrowpaw nodded their heads, quickly dashing off to complete their duties. As Sparrowpaw rushed towards the nursery, she could hear a wail of terror coming from inside of the den. The apprentice's stomach began to churn, and she forced herself to swallow her fear as she entered the den.
It took her eyes a moment to adjust to the dim light, which was even more difficult since it was the middle of the night, until she could recognize a queen crouched over something at the wall of the nursery. "What's wrong? We need to leave!" she urged desperately, quickly heading towards the queen to see what she was wailing about.
At the bottom of the nursery's wall, a kit was stuck in a hole. He had managed to stick his head out on the other side, but the rest of his body was too big to fit. Letting out a grunt of effort, Sparrowpaw began to paw at the woven brances and reeds, beraking apart the wall until the little kitcould get through. Why hadn't the queen thought of that before?
The water has already breached the camp, rushing into the camp and heading for the dens. For this entire time. Sparrowpaw couldn't stop thinking about Raggedshadow. Where was he? Was he alright? But she had other things to focus on. Without another moments' hesitation, the tabby apprentice guided the queen and her kit out of the nursery, returning for other queens and their kits. After emptying in the nursery, Sparrowpaw raced straight for the warriors' den, for some reason, thinking her mentor would be there.

The senior warrior went to bed that night knowing that tomorrow would be a new day and that StarClan would provide them with another day to train the apprentices. He took in a deep breath and closed his eyes. It seemed like only moments until he was being pelted with large sharp droplets of water. He opened one eye and noticed that a puddle of water was touching his white paws. Alerted he jumped up. The tom heard the commotion from Brindlestar and other cats out in the clearing. There were a few warriors sleeping in the back of him and he nudged them awake."There is something happening wake up!" Flurrycloud mewed.
The tom saw them stir and they too were alerted by the water lapping their paws. When he went into the clearing the water was high. He looked around alarmed not even sure what to do He spotted Sparrowpaw rushing towards the warriors den. Raggedshadow was her mentor and suddenly he thought. Did he see the tom inside? He shook his head clearing the water from his view not sure. She would find him.
He found himself nearly sprinting towards Brindlestar. The water was covering his paws and he was sure it wouldn't be too long until the the clan was flooded completely."Brindlestar, do you want me to start taking the youngest cats and queens towards four trees?" Flurrycloud mewed. He knew most cats would be in shock but he had to help somehow. These cats needed to get to safety.

His eyes flew open, the smell of water heavy in his nose. He knew this was no ordinary storm. The feline stood, stepping over whoever else was in the den, and bolting into the camp. Immediately the water pelted down on him, feeling like shards of ice or glass. His ears instinctively flattened, and his first instinct was to find Sparrowpaw...
His eyes adjusted to the other cats in the camp, the look of worry on some of their faces. "What do I need to help with, Brindlestar?" He meowed, quite loudly to be heard over the storm. The river was flooding, and it was only a matter of time before the entire camp was destroyed. He stood there, feeling pretty dumb because he hadn't awoken sooner. He was at a loss, and was confused.
This wasn't the first time Raggedshadow had ever gone through a mess, but a mess that affected the whole clan? Now that was a first. He wanted so bad to help take a little bit of charge and help lead the few gathered cats to Fourtrees, but he knew he had to wait for Brindlestar's instruction..

"Raggedshadow!" Sparrowpaw rushed to her mentor, almost burying her face into his fur until she noticed that Brindlestar was standing right in front of them. She scrambled to an awkward halt, looking a bit embarassed fo a heartbeat. But there was no time for embarrassment, especially at a time like this. She glanced at Raggedshadow, hoping that he could read it in her eyes that she was glad he was alright.
Giving a brief nod to her leader to show respect, Sparrowpaw began, "The queens and kits are safe; there aren't any more in the nursery." Suddenly a voice sounded from behind her, and the apprentice noticed Aspenfrost as she padded to her side. "The elders are safe as well," she mewed, pointing her tail at the group of elders and queens a few fox-lengths away from her. What Sparrowpaw didn't realize, was that she had completely forgotton about Squirrelkit.
---------------------------------------------------------------
On the other side of camp, Sharptalon was frantically looking for his daughter. "Squirrelkit!" he called above the rain, his pelt soaked and matted against his bones. He constantly blinked the rain away from his eyes. His vision was blurred, and it was ten times more difficult to search for Squirrelkit. Oh, no. This is all my fault! I never should've let her sleep in thenursery, by herself... he thought desperately, searching in the nursery and the medicine cat den. Where could his daughter be?

Creampaw looked up at her mentor and she shuddered. She hoped he was right, that her mother was okay. Just the simple, quick gesture of his muzzle had comforted her a slight bit. Her cream colored fur was now soaking wet, but the apprentice didn’t mind. With a deep sigh she looked around the camp. It seemed as if she weren’t needed her. Everyone was doing what they could to help the others. She was needed elsewhere and she was going to go no matter what.
Normally Creampaw would just go on her own, but just in case the worst happened, she needed someone who would help comfort her. ”Would you go to ThunderClan with me? I just have to see for myself if they are alright. I don’t want to believe some other cat telling me, I have to see with my own eyes.”
she pleaded. Taking another deep breath, to keep herself from falling apart at the thought she looked up at him. ”If you don’t come with me, I’m going by myself. I don’t care what you say, but this time I’m doing this because I have to. Punish me later if you want, I don’t care.” the she-cat added, before getting onto her paws and blinking at Brindlestar. She stared at the leader and hoped the leader understood where she was going. Creampaw began her journey to ThunderClan territory, in search of her family and in search of reassurance for their safety. -------------------------------------------------- Tiny paws padded against the wet ground of the territory. Little Squirrelkit was in a determined state of mind and the kit was getting a bit further away from camp than she expected. Never had she been this far into the territory before. At this point the kit was completely lost. The scrawny pale ginger kit now was approaching more and more water. It had covered her paws at this point, and was almost up to her stomach. For any normal sized kit, it wouldn’t be deep at all, just barely around their paws. Squirrelkit was feeling a little afraid at the moment, but she had to keep going on. The water soon became too deep for her to just wade through, and a huge burst of water soon sent the little kit underneath. It took a few seconds for her to be able to float to the top, but she finally managed it. The little kit was swimming, to the best of her ability. Grinning widely, she soon realized her mother wasn’t here to see this. Okay, maybe not the best idea she has had. Her little paws were aching now, getting tired of trying to keep her up. Another burst soon shot through and the kit became submerged again. She barely made it back up this time, and after several more bursts, Squirrelkit didn’t know how much longer she had. Her paws soon just gave up on her, and she began to sink underneath the water. The only thing sticking up at this point was her tail.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

--brindlestar As her clan gathered towards her and Flurrycloud stepped forward asking what to do. Blinking her eyes shut, for less than a heartbeat she mewed once again, "Alright, Flurrycloud, you and Raggedshadow begin escorting the clan to Fourtrees." Dismissing her clan, she watched them pass and noticed Creampaw padding deliberately away, "Creampaw! Wait. I know you're worried about your mother and sister, but please help get the clan to Fourtress and Whitefrost can take you to check on them." She spoke nodding at the white warrior as he padded towards the entrance looking uncertainly at Creampaw. As her clan began filing out before her, she heard a yowl, 'Squirrelkit?!' It was Sharptalon. Looking around she realized that she didn't see the tweaky young kit anywhere. Where was she? Turning to Aspenfrost, she mewed, "Aspenfrost, help Sharptalon find Squirrelkit... Quickly!" In her mind, the bengal she-cat's mind swirled. She could vaguely feel that her pelt was throughly soaked, and slowly a chill crept up her spine. --whitefrost The burly white tom cat had watched his apprentice walk towards the camp entrace uncertainly and had followed slowly. He couldn't let her travel alone but he made a promise to defend his clan and they needed them both to. He nearly jumped out of his skin, when Brindlestar addressed the apprentice so directly and was giving her permisson to go, if only she would help her clanmates get to safety first. "Creampaw.... Please. Let's do as Brindlestar says, and I promise I'll come with you. Our clan needs us now." He said quietly, his voice full of his unspoken affection for the young apprentice. Taking his long tail, he traced gently along her flank as he stepped caught up to her. Turning his dark blue eyes on her, he willed her to listen. He understood how important this was to her, but he also understood that there was an oath that they had to keep for the safety of their clan. 331

The white she-cat was surrounded by her own fear, Darkness. She couldn't move and she wanted to but she couldn't. Plus she couldn't see where Cloudwing was. Shaking, she tried to get up the courage to move but couldn't.
---------------------------------------------
Fangshatter nodded to his leader and looked around to see if anyone else was in the camp. He looked to see that his sister was gone. Lillyfrost becareful! he said as he ran to the other side of camp.

Cloudwing couldn't see anything. The rain blurred his vision and he struggled to keep himself moving in the right direction. All he could think of was Snowpaw. He had to find her - no matter what. She meant too much to him. If he lost her in this storm, he didn't know what he would do... But he wouldn't. He would find her, and then the two of them would follow Creampaw and Raggedshadow to Fourtrees.
Squinting his eyes, Cloudwing managed to see a flash of white in the center of camp, and he dashed toward it without even stopping to think if it was Snowpaw or not. "Snowpaw!" he called out to her, rushing up to her and pressing his nose into her fur. "Thank StarClan, you're alright! We have to go!" he mewed desperately, hoping that she heard him even over the rain. This was all a nightmare.
-----------------------------------------
Sparrowpaw nodded. Her duty was to help Sharptalon find Squirrelkit. She turned to run towards the silver warrior, but suddenly stopped. Sharptalon. Where was he? She could barely see a thing in this rain, and she constantly blinked the water out of her eyes. it took her a few moments to find him through the panicking cats and she bounded toward him, skidding to a halt at his paws. "We're going to find her, don't worry!" she shouted above the rain.
He looked down at her with wide eyes, the blood drained out of his face and terror siezing his mind. Sparrowpaw would've felt a stab of sympathy if she had the time. They stared at each other for a heartbeat before Sharptalon nodded and they ran off in different directions, checking the dens and everywhere else to find his missing daughter. Suddenly, a flash of ginger caught her eye, and when she turned toward it, her blood turned to ice. She had found Squirrelkit.

Hawktail moved through the camp, his pelt being drenched and pelted by the hard rain. His blue eyes scanned the camp, hurrying to search for any other cats that might've been still there. He headed towards Brindlestar, his head pushing forward through the rain. Many cats were still scattered, searching for others whose scents they could not catch. "Brindlestar!" He called over the rains. "What shall I do?" He felt useless just pacing around in circles. His eyes searched for his leader, hoping to find her frame through the water. His mind wandered to the queens whom he had hoped had already been moved to safety since he had not seen any emerge from the nursery as he passed by it.
OOC: I apologize if this is a fail post, I kinda just put him in somehow.
