Poppykit through back to the day where she had played with Thornpaw and her brother Foxkit. Being a mother of a large litter must have been rather tiring itself and she knew all too well that she and he siblings certainly had their share of causing trouble. Poppykit was born with a lot of energy and curiosity. There were many times where she wanted to leave the comfort of the nursery but knew very well that she wasn't allowed to go outside without the careful eye of her mother. She looked at her resting siblings and pouted. She crossed one paw over the other and mumbled a few words to herself. Being cooped up like this was just so darn boring!
She rested her small chin on her paws every so often looking to see if her siblings were awake. She growled to herself in frusteration. Thornpaw didn't come as often since his mentor spotted him playing with her and Foxkit and it angered her. She saw her mother who began to stir and she honestly felt excitement brewing in the depth of her core. With a quick look to the camp and then to her sleeping siblings, she brought herself up to her mothers face and just looked at her with eyes filled with amusement as if she were about to do something or already did, do something thats she would get into trouble for. With a twitch of her whiskers she let out a warm purr.
"Mom, can you take me for walk around camp today? Thornpaw hasn't been back since his mentor found him in here the other day playing with me and Foxkit and I'm honestly rather bored." She mewed looking at her small paws. She really was bored." I want to know what it's like to roam around camp and see other warriors. Mom do you think I'll make a good warrior? Or better yet a good leader or or or a queen just like you? Mom I want to be just like you when I grow up...OH WAIT! Will I be an apprentice soon I want to train just like..." The she-cat trailed off since she had lost her train of though. She just twitched her whiskers once more waiting for her mother tor respond to her large array of questions.

Fawnstep woke slowly, in a rather peaceful mood, savoring the warmth that sleeping bodies always generate so well. Even better, the nursery was much cozier than the surrounding dens, and held that warmth in even better. She wanted to lay there and fall back asleep. All she'd have to do would be to close her eyes again and enjoy the sensation of falling asleep. Simple.
Or, it should have been simple.
Obviously her playful little darling Poppykit had spotted her starting to stir, and wouldn't let her off the hook today. She felt the distinct feeling of someone close to her face, and as she lazily opened her eyes, she found that the cute multi-colored face of her eldest she-kit was looking into her own, mischievous eyes alight with amusement.
Fawnstep lifted her head, more awake now, and cocked her head curiously at her daughter. She didn't know what she had done, or what she was planning, but it didn't really matter. She was in a pretty relaxed mood, and was almost confident that the little girl had only gotten into some tiny trouble, easily remedied. The little purr that she gave her made her feel even better about that assumption, as she hoped that Poppykit would know better than to flaunt something horrible right in her face.
"Mom, can you take me for walk around camp today? Thornpaw hasn't been back since his mentor found him in here the other day playing with me and Foxkit and I'm honestly rather bored." Thornpaw had been in recently? She felt bad for not knowing, and figured it much have happened when she had been out with Cedarfang. You just can never leave these little guys alone, for even a minute! she thought, realizing that she would have to retain an even more permanent spot in the nursery than she had had to do with the first litter. This was a much larger batch, after all.
She smiled and opened her mouth to answer the kit's question, but instead she had to hold her tongue and wait, because apparently she wasn't done talking yet. "Mom do you think I'll make a good warrior? Or better yet a good leader or or or a queen just like you?" Aw, the little rascal had gotten right at her heart in that question! Had she not just talked with Cedarfang about this very thing? Of course, she was excited to see what her kits grew up to be, and had no doubt in the world that they would all become great additions to the clan, in whatever position they served! "Mom I want to be just like you when I grow up..." Except hopefully not. Hopefully she would figure out love in a little more exciting way than she had, just waiting and hiding all her apprenticeship. But a nice sentiment.
"Hold on, now, little one, I can't get a word in edgewise with you asking questions like that! Slow down and take your time, honey, and cats will have a much easier time understanding you." Of course, the obligatory parenting that comes before answering a single question. "You'll be a very fine warrior, Poppykit, because you do things so well when you've a mind to." She paused again, looking the kit over. When would she be an apprentice? In moons. Just a couple moons, which in her life would seem like nothing. To Poppykit, though, it must seem like forever! "Sure, if you'd like to go see the warriors, we'll go and see the warriors. You behave now, or I won't hesitate to bring you right back." A note of sternness entered her voice at that, but it was necessary. Certain warriors didn't like to be disturbed by kits.
