Lillyfrost walked into camp. She was concerned about her brother and how he wasn't talking to her. She spotted him in the shade near the warriors den. Carefully not to be to mad she walked over to him and looked into his eyes. Fangshatter we need to talk and it needs to be now! She said. She said it like her mother would say to him. She was so fed up with him ignoring her and not being responsible about anything. Fangshatter why do you have to do this to me? Your own sister?! She screeched. She couldn't handle being the mother. Any where is Streampool? Your supposed to be protecting us and making sure we are fine. she said. She was ready to unsheath her claws.

Fangshatter had just laid down in the shade and didn't want anything to go wrong. Then it happened, Lillyfrost acting like their mother. He rolled his eyes and then put his head on his paws. Maybe his mother's spirit was there with them now. Lillyfrost please stop. I herd enough of your ranting for one day, you can take care of your self. Please leave me alone now. He said quietly. He hated when she would do this to him. I don't know where streampool is, she is probably of hunting or something. he snapped.

It was as if all her memories were being revisited and like the whole world around her was completely out of tune. The young warrior was focused on memories and staring at this place, where it all began, was becoming hard to keep focused on. The memories were flooding fast and furious into her mind as she stared at one particular spot. This is where her mother had last been before she died. Streampool remembered the day almost too clearly. She had been close to being an apprentice and her mother had promised that she would take the then Streamkit on a swimming adventure. How could a little kit turn down such excitement? She had been a true momma’s girl, always with her mother and never wanting to leave her side. Streamkit had gone back into the nursery to wait for her mother, but mommy never returned. Not having mommy with her anymore, Streamkit had lost that bright and cheerful attitude for quite some time. She relied on her siblings heavily, but they too soon began to drift apart. Her mother never fulfilled her promise, and Streamkit just couldn’t get over the fact she would never see mommy again.

As Streampool blinked her eyes she remembered the good times. How her mother would usually always carry her around, trying to keep the little kit out of trouble. Surely if Streamkit’s paws weren’t on the ground, the kit wouldn’t be into everything. And so, Streamkit grew to love being picked up. But no one was there for her after mommy died. She kept away from other cats and tried to keep them away with her harsh words.

What snapped her out of her memories was the sound of her siblings fighting. Streampool didn’t know what to think of this and when she padded over closer to try and understand what it was all about, she heard her sister speaking. Lillyfrost sounded so much like their mother it was frightening. She opened her mouth to say something to them, but quickly stopped herself. She just stayed out of it for now, staring at Lillyfrost and trying not to picture their mother. But that didn’t work well and now all Streampool could think about was being a kit and having her mother’s warm fur surrounding her.

Ranting, Is this what you call ranting? If I wanted to rant i would of atleast told you about my day and yesturday. Now that is ranting, I just want to make sure that Streampool is okay and alive because you don't know what is out there and what the two-legs can do! She said to her brother. What if I don't want to leave you alone? All I do is worry about you and Streampool like mother used to! she said. Now the tears were starting to fall, She missed her mother very much and couldn't believe that she was gone. Mother, why did you have to leave us? she thought and looked up at the sky.

Fangshatter was ready to get up and leave but his sister was right. He had promised bothe of them that no matter what happened, he would be there for them. What if I don't want to leave you alone? All I do is worry about you and Streampool like mother used to! He looked at his sister, Well Mother isn't here, Okay and guess what, I'm sorry to be shattering your little world but she isn't coming back. Plus you don't have to act like her. I can take care of myself and so should you! He sighed and then looked behind lillyfrost and smiled. Why hello streampool, how long have you been standing there? he asked her.
