[/div] The she-cat felt weary as she trudged toward the freshkill pile. She'd been on patrols all day. Crowflower was known for her hard working nature, she was also known for her complacent nature. She never questioned her leaders, and when they sent her on multiple patrols, she went happily. While she loved to share tongues with the rest of the Clan, she also loved to help her Clan out. But she was tired. She was ready to eat and then curl up in her nest and sleep until some cat woke her up. Yeah, it sounded lazy, but that was how she was feeling.
When Crowflower reached the freshkill pile, she picked out a small bird and settled down to eat it. No other cat was around, so she ate alone. She didn't mind, sometimes she liked having time to herself so she could just think. Of course, this wasn't always a good thing. Left to her thoughts, sometimes Crowflower could depress herself. She was very wary about being close to her family members, and sometimes she wanted to push them away. After what had happened to Graywing, she always worried about it happening to some other cat that she was close to.
Crowflower finished her meal, and looked up at the sky. The sun was starting to set, and she knew she needed to be getting to bed before some cat needed her for something. [/div]

Adderstrike emerged form the warriors' den, his brown tabby fur gleaming golden in the sunlight. He had tried to sleep, but apparantly could not, so he decided to take a short stroll out in the territory. Though, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of loneliness, and he could use social contact with one of his Clan mates after a long day of patrolling.
His gaze scanned the hollow, until his eyes rested on a black figure by the pile of fresh-kill. Recognizing Crowflower, the deputy bounded over to her. Adderstrike didn't know her that well, but she was one of the few cats who didn't annoy him, and it would be nice to know such a cat. "Good evening, Crowflower," he grunted curtly, flicking his ear in anticipation. "Er, I was planning on taking a short walk out in the territory, and I was wondering if you'd like to tag along."

[/div] A flash of brown caught her attention, and she looked up slowly. She knew who it was before she even looked at him. The distinct brown tabby of his coat, and the way he held himself made it obvious to her. It was the deputy, Adderstrike. She could only wonder what he wanted, and she hoped he didn't want a lot. She was tired, and she didn't feel like it. But she knew she would do whatever he asked. Crowflower didn't have a strong relationship with her deputy or leader, but she respected them, of course.
"Er, I was planning on taking a short walk out in the territory, and I was wondering if you'd like to tag along."
"Of course." She responded before she even thought about it. She didn't know if he was asking her to go as a 'friend' or if it was an order, but she didn't question it. After all, it didn't really matter. She never openly questioned her leaders, because she found it rude and disgraceful. So, with a yawn she rose and stretched. "Lead the way." She meowed.

Adderstrike found himself staring at Crowflower in surprise, and for once hesitated. "That wasn't an order," he meowed slowly, frowning. He felt as though Crowflower didn't want anything to do with him - which was fine - and it slightly disappointed him. The deputy was giving the black warrior another chance to refuse his offer, half of him hoping she would, and the other half hoping she wouldn't. He curled his tail around his paws neatly and flicked his ear in curiosity of Crowflower's response.

[/div] The she-cat watched her deputy in silence, waiting for him to start walking. She really didn't mind going for a walk with him, even though she was tired. Crowflower liked to do things for other cats, so this wasn't really too big of an issue for her. She just hoped that she wouldn't be called for dawn patrol, because she would be too exhausted to do anything. Her ears flicked a bit, and her bright yellow eyes rose to look at his face when he told her he wasn't ordering her to go with him. She stood silent for a moment, unsure of what to do. He seemed a little put off by something. . Had she made it so obvious that she didn't want to go for a walk with him? Guilt flooded her senses, and a frown made its way onto her own face.
"I don't mind to go at all." She meowed, offering up a small smile.

Adderstrike brightened a bit when Crowflower held her answer, but still didn't feel satisfied. He felt that somehow she didn't want to go with him, but he wasn't about to start an arguement then and there. He shook his thin pelt before flicking his tail as a gesture for Crowflower to follow him. He cast her a brief, blank glance over his shoulder just before he disappeared into the bramble tunnel.

[/div] Adderstrike said nothing more to her as he turned and began to walk out of the camp. Crowflower wasn't bothered by his silence, after all he wasn't known for being the most talkative cat in the clan. Crowflower started to pad after him at a comfortable distance. She didn't want to be too close, and she also didn't want to walk too far behind. He seemed sort of upset at her for some reason, and she didn't want to upset him more.
