I've been through a lot these past two days, and if I'm not active for a little I guess I should just tell you. Though I'm assuming a few of you know already.
Yesterday, I was involved in a car accident. I was tagging along with my friends to a footbal game, when we came across a 4-way street. One of my friend's mother was driving the mini-van, and she missed the stop sign. An incredible force smashed into the left side of the car, and sent us rolling over twice off the road completely. Soon, I could hear the shrill cries of ambulances approaching along with police cars. I was so shocked; I couldn't believe what just happened. Next thing I know, I'm in an ambulance with a neck-brace on. The people who were in the ambulance with me called my parents, and told them what happened. Then I reached Condell Hospital, and was taken into the emergency room while my other friends did the same. Turns out, I have fractured my pelvis on the left side of my hip. It doesn't effect my walking, but it's still painful to do so without my crutches. However, I do not regret coming with my friends that day. I would rather have gotton hurt with them, rather than watch them suffer alone.
So there you have it. I'm not lying. If I was, I would make things much more dramatic, if not already. I'm just letting you guys know this so that you won't be confused if I'm not online for a few hours or if I'm slow at replying to posts. Don't worry though, the doctor told me I'd be fine, and my fracture would heal by itself. Hopefully my bone will recover to be stronger than before. I'll still be attending school, and most likely one of my friends will help me with carrying my things. I wonder what would've happened if I wasn't wearing my seatbelt. I try not to think about it, even if I barely remember what happened, and now it's terrorfying to get in a car, or even think of one for that matter. So please remember to keep your eyes on the road and wear a seatbelt, even if you're not driving. I may have died if I wasn't wearing one, so I'm very thankful that I got off so luckily.
