Warrior Ceremony

Leader: "I, [insert leader's name here] leader of [insert Clan name here], call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. [He/She] has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn."
"[insert apprentice's name here], do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Apprentice: "I do."

Leader: "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. [insert apprentice's name here], from this moment you will be known as [insert apprentice's new warrior name here]. StarClan honors your [insert two qualities of the warrior here (ex. bravery, strength, etc.)], and we welcome you as a full warrior of [insert Clan name here]."

The Clan leader then steps forward to rest their muzzle on the warrior's bowed head, and the warrior respectfully licks the leader's shoulder in return. The Clan shouts the warrior's new name, and the newly made warrior prepares to sit vigil in silence until dawn breaks.

Deputy Ceremony

When appointing a new deputy, the leader must perform the ceremony before Moonhigh. In order to qualify to be a deputy, the warrior must of had an apprentice in the past.

The following words are used if the deputy died in battle:

Leader: "I say these words before the body of [insert name of previous deputy here], so that [his/her] spirit may hear and approve my choice."
"[insert the name of the new deputy here] will be the new deputy of [insert Clan name here]."

The following words are used if the previous deputy was driven from the Clan, or if the previous deputy has become leader and is choosing a new one:

Leader: "I say these words before StarClan, that the spirits of our ancestors may hear and approve my choice."
"The new deputy will be [insert name of new deputy here]."

Apprentice Ceremony

Leader: "[insert kit's name here], from this moment on, you will be known as [insert kit's apprentice name here]."
"[insert the name of warrior who is to mentor the kit here], you are ready to take on an apprentice. You will be mentor to [insert apprentice name here]."
"[insert the name of warrior who is to mentor the kit here], you have shown yourself to be a [insert two qualities of the warrior here (ex. bravery, strength, etc.)] warrior. Do all that you can to pass on what you know down to [insert apprentice's name here]."

The mentor and apprentice then touch noses before withdrawing to the edge of the camp.

Medicine Cat Apprentice Ceremony

When a medicine cat gives their apprentice their full name, they perform the ceremony at the Moonstone/Moonpool at the half-moon in front of the medicine cats of the other Clans when StarClan thinks that the apprentice is ready to become a full medicine cat.

Medicine Cat: "I, [insert medicine cat's name here], medicine cat of [insert Clan name here], call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. [He/She] has trained hard to understand the way of a medicine cat, and with your help [he/she] will serve [his/her] Clan for many moons."
"[insert medicine cat apprentice's name here], do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"

Medicine Cat Apprentice: "I do."

Medicine Cat: "Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. [insert medicine cat apprentice's name here], from this moment you will be known as [insert medicine cat apprentice's new name here]. StarClan honors your [insert two qualities here]."

The medicine cat performing the ceremony rests their muzzle on the newly named medicine cat's bowed head. The newly named medicine cat licks their mentor's shoulder in respect. The medicine cats that witnessed the ceremony chant the medicine cat's new name.

Elder Ceremony

Leader: "(warrior), is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders?"

Warrior: "It is."

Leader: "Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given us. I call upon StarClan to give you many seasons of rest."

Renaming

Leader: "Spirits of StarClan, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the name from the cat you see before you, for it no longer stands for what he/she is. By my authority as Clan leader, and with the approval of our warrior ancestors, I give this cat a new name. From this moment he/she will be known as (new name)."

Clan leader rests muzzle on warrior's head, warrior licks leader's shoulder in respect.
