Fawnpelt Fawnpelt was walking through the woods trying to blow off some steam. She was trying to be very calm. But it was so hard! Some things just frustrated her so much she was just pushed to her limits before she was gong to snap back at them. Her parents had told her to take no ignorance but now she had to. She didnt want others to thnk she was a stupd as her parents were so she was going to attempt to stay as calm as possible. Fawnpelt stalked through the brush looking at the glints of slver fish in the river. Fawnpelt slowed to a stop and crouched nere the river. She quickly stapped her war nto the river and scooped up a large silver fish. She threw the fish on the land and gve it a swift bite to the neck. She thanked starclan for the prey and slowly start to eat it. She was planning to catch some more fish but first she needed to get some energy from the fish. She ate the fish slowly her ears were perked up to here any others that happened to wander on her eating the fish or any other predators. She quckly buried the bones of the fish and crouched by the river again. She was moitenless and as soon as she saw a fish streak by he jabbed her paw nto the water and scooped another fish up. She had already caught three fish before she stopped tp sense if another cat was nearby. She stopped to hear a small rustle from one of the bushes surounding the small clearing that Fawnpelt was hunting at. She slowly crept up towards the rustle. She wa assuming it was some prey or something. She jumped all of the sudden but kept her claws sheathed. She landed on something large and brown. She purred with amusement as she saw that t was the brown tabby that belonged to her clan. She never really had talked to him. But she dd share the apprentice's den with him. His name was Icefeather. He was a brown tabby that was somewhat larger than Fawnpelt who was rather a small She-cat. But they both had long legs. They trained to gether when they were apprentices but never really the best of friends. "What brings you to these neck of the words?" purrs Fawnpelt getting off the large tom.

"It is better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not" - Andre Gide --------------------------------------
-- Soft paws silently padded around the forest floor. The paws were colored caramel, with darker tiger like stripes. Attached to the paws were tall, nimble legs that rippled with strong muscles. Ears prickled, he could hear something. Something that sounded an awfully lot like prey. Perhaps a mouse or shrew? Quickly, the tom dropped to a hunters crouch and began to make painstakingly slow steps towards the scent.
As the tom neared the prey, he figured out it was a mouse. As his bright blue eyes laid upon his prey, his long striped tail began to twitch with excitement. Shaking his head gently, Icefeahter forced his tail to stop and he tensed his muscles. In a instant, the tom shoot though the forest floor and towards the mouse, grabbing it the throat. Quickly he bit into the delicate jugular and made a quick thanks to StarClan.
He quickly dug a hole for the plump prey and began his search again. But he scented something different. A cat, a she-cat. Icefeather looked around, but could not see the cat. But then he heard the long grasses rustle and he felt weight on his back. Hissing he narrowed his eyes.
The she-cat's name was Fawnpelt. Icefeather shared a den with her when she was an apprentice, but she turned a warrior a few moon earlier. Luckily for Icefeahter, the she-cat quickly got off of his back and scrambled in front of him. Sighing, he sat down, knowing that she would want to talk about something.
The tom's bright blue eyes fell onto her soft amber eyes. Oh, she was quite a looker, Icefeather gave her that. She could have the whole clan falling on their paws for her with a simple glance. With a soft flick of his ears, he replied. "Well I thought I was hunting, but apparently I was being hunted," he grumbled, tail flicking with annoyance. Why should he waste time when he could be out hunting?

Fawnpelt Fawnpelt was a little suprised by the toms actions. Sure they werent the best of friends but he didnt have to be so cranky with Fawnpelt. "Sorry i thought you were a mouse, and why are you hunting out her and not fishing in the river?" said Fawnpelt. Riverclans main source of food was Fish anyways. Some cats didnt have the acquired taste to enjoy food. The tom seemed to be very irratated towards Fawnpelt. Fawnpelt had gotten her warrior name earlier than than alot of cats becuase of her dedication. But it was a only a moon earlier because she trained hard and the clan needed extra warriors. She remembered about how the only thing she could think of was how proud her parents would have been. Her parents might not have been the smartest cats ever. But they were very proud of Fawnpelt. Fawnpelt had often had seen the other cats make fun of Icefeather. She never preticapated and sometimes spoke against it. Fawnpelt was firmly againstviolence that is used with out a reason. She had never been mean to him so this laft her sort of shocked why he was already being cranky with her. " And im so sorry for jumping on you." said Fawnpelt.

"It is better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not" - Andre Gide --------------------------------------
-- His bright blue eyes narrowed. Didn't this she-cat understand? He was an outcast, unwanted. Why should she be talking to him? She is after all, 100% RiverClan, while he was just half. Like some sort of mutant. His long striped tail flickered with annoyance. What she-cat would waste her time talking to him? Biting his tongue, he quickly replied, "Since I'm half WindClan, I do enjoy a occasional mouse or two." It's not like she would understand, she was pure RiverClan.
He has seen her kind before. The innocent type that got whatever they wanted. With no care in the world. No, Icefeather knew that Fawnpelt wanted. To settle down with some nice tom and raise a couple of mewling kits. Eyes narrowed, he distinctly remembered her warrior ceremony. The clan was low on warriors, and skipped over him, the oldest apprentice and chose her as a warrior. It was the most embarrassing thing that Icefeather had ever felt. To be passed up by a young apprentice, it was simply heart breaking.
Surprise hit him and he scraped the hard dirt floor with his claws. What was she trying to get at him? "It's fine," he spat, not knowing what to respond with. Nobody has ever tried to apologize to him. All they did was laugh at him and call him foul names. No, she must be playing some sort of game, and Icefeahter was just sick of it. "If you don't mind, I'm going off to the river," he growled, claws impatiently digging into the now soft dirt.

Fawnpelt Fawnpelt sort of flinched at his nastiness. Fawnpelt didnt really care where a cat was from why was he being so rude to her? The only thing she wanted to do was make friends. She was the most peaceful cat in her clan. Why would someone imedietly assume thar she was going to try to hurt him. Why was he assuming that she was a nasty cat trying to make fun of him. She frowned with sadness and than said," I'm sorry i was just trying to make friends.". She than walked back to her little fishing spot looking back a few times at him hurtfully. In the end he succedeed in hurting her instead of her hurting him. She lowly sat down and started to look at the slowly setting sun. She loved to watch things. One hting that Fawnpelt had always loved to do was observe everyone. She could just stand for hours observing the sunrise or a the forest. She was just a very patient when it came to these things. She just looked at how the fish swam by and how the wind or anything would ripple the waters stream. She watched silently not even caring if Icefeather was there. Fawnpelt always had a weakness. She always tried to make friends, she didnt know how to make enemies. So almost imedietly she had already had forgiven Icefeather for being so rude to her. She knew he was probably following his instincts and assuming that she was just anotehr bully. Even though Fawnpelt wasnt because she had made a vow to be nothing like her parents. He rparents would be the cats to imedietly instigate the other cats judging them on looks and what clan they are form. Her parents were quick to fight and quck to make enemies. This was their weakness. They imedietly tryed to kill anythng in their way. Fawnpelt thought for the longest time that, that was the right thing to do. Buthtan she figured something out. Her parents hurt themselves and toehrs by doing this. This stopped Fawnpelt from doing theses cruel things.

"It is better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not" - Andre Gide --------------------------------------
-- He stiffened, hearing Fawnpelt's words. It sliced his heart like bramble thorns but he wouldn't give in. No, he was stronger than that. He had to be. As she walked away, his bright blue eyes reflected sorrow. Quickly shaking his head, he stalked off towards the river, but making sure not to cross paths with the she-cat again.
After catching a couple of fish, he saw a tan pelt through the underbrush. Silently, he crept over towards Fawnpelt. As he laid his eyes on her, he took in a breath, in simple amazement. Never before had Icefeather saw a cat as breath taking. He saw she-cats be pretty, and once, even beautiful. But never so amazing to take his breath from out of his lungs.
Fawnpelt was gazing up at the slowly setting sun, the rays of sunshine dancing on her bright eyes. The way the sun hit her pelt, it was simply beautiful. After watching Fawnpelt fora few moments, Icefeather crept out of his hiding spot, blue eyes sad once again. "Fawnpelt, I apologize for being so rude to you," he whispered, staring at her bright amber eyes. Oh, he could stare for days, seeing her beautiful eyes that had a sort of sparkle to them.

Fawnpelt Fawnpelt jumped when she heard the tom suddenly apoligize to her. She than started to purr and replied, " No im sorry for startling you." She than suddenly realized something. Icefeather was rather handsome, but the one thing that shocked her was how goergous his eyes are. She felt a little hot under her fur, which made her glad her fur covered her skin. Or she would be flaming red. Fawnpelt than realized that she could help Icefeather from being so uncomfortable with her. " Here let start over, and just be friends." said Fawnpelt. Even though deep inside her she knew that she wanted to be more than friends but she hid it on the inside not knowing if the Tom thought the same thing. She gave him a warm glance hoping that he would wrm up to her soon. He really didnt have any friends in the clan so far. It was mostly because he was pert windclan but Fawnpelt never cared about that sort of stuff. As long as the cat is willing to serve their clan loyaly they are just like any other member of the clan. She woould have only hated him ifhe wasnt very loyal to the clan and never did his share of work. That would have made Fawnpelt despise him. But Icefeather worked just as hard as any cat mybe een harder. So Fawnpelt had a deep respect for him. Words: 240 Notes: ROFLMAO I didnt realize you were leavign notes until today XD
