Tornshadow bounded out into the moor, breathing in the cool, fresh air of newleaf. He cast a brief glance over his shoulder at the rest of his patrol to make sure they were matching his pace; along with Crowpaw. He didn't slow down, but instead kept his pace rather quick.
Anxiety prickled through his thick brown tabby fur. Chaos is on the brink of throwing its wrath upon the clans, and the situation wasn't getting any better. Did they do the right thing; to create the four clans? They have already had other clans steal from their new territories, and keeping up with the border patrols was tough.

Crowpaw dashed after his mentor, the wind ruffling his fur. The apprentice was full of energy, and running seemed to help calm him down or at least help him lose some energy. The black and white tom glanced over his shoulder where Cherrypaw was struggling to keep up. Crowpaw knew his sister wasn't a morning cat, she never really liked to get up early, which is why having Hollyheart as a mentor was good for her. Hollyheart didn't seem to like getting up early either.

Tornshadow sniffed the air thoughtfully, but he couldn't smell any prey so far. The poor creatures; they didn't even have a say in the five Clans being created, or now, four Clans now that SkyClan had been driven out. He still felt uncomfortable about the whole scene that happened at the gathering a season ago, when SkyClan had been forced to disert their territory due to twolegs.
"Let's start along the ShadowClan border," he instructed. "then we'll travel along Fourtrees and finally onto the RiverClan border." Tornshadow felt a bit annoyed by patrolling their new borders every morning. Why can't they just tell the other Clans to keep to their own territory? It would save all the Clans time for hunting prey and more important things.

Hollyheart nodded at Tornshadow's instructions, fluffing out her fur since it was a pretty cold day. The sun seemed to be shining, but not very brightly. Every few moments a cloud would float over it, blocking to sunlight. Let's hope it warms up she told herself. Hollyheart rushed after Tornshadow, glancing behind herself to make sure the two apprentices were following.

OOC:: I PM'd you.
Tornshadow aknowledged Hollyheart with a flick of his ear and grimaced as the rank stench of the Thunderpath filled his nostrils. A chill ran down his spine as the foreboding black stretch of rough ground loomed before the patrol, and he instinctively tensed and pricked his ears anxiously. "Be careful not to stray too close to the Thunderpath." he ordered strictly.
He didn't want to see his Clan mate get injured so soon. He cautiously stalked up to the border until he was standing directly before it. He lifted his tail and marked his scent, and flinched when a monster roared past him, flattening his ears in fear and disgust.

Cherrypaw flinched when the monster roared past, she scrunched up her face in disgust. "Why do we have to patrol the along thunderpath?" she grumbled, narrowing her eyes at the thunderpath which reeked of crow-food. She already was pretty tired and now she had to put up with this stink. Cherrypaw stood a tail-length away from the thunderpath, not willing to step near it.

Tornshadow glanced at Cherrypaw over his shoulder with hint of annoyance in his frosty blue eyes. "Because this is the ShadowClan border," he snapped, trying to keep his ground as yet another monster roared past. He started to slowly walk further down the Thunderpath. "Are you coming, or not?" he turned to look at his patrol.

"Okay," Cherrypaw meowed, though her eyes were narrowed. She exchanged a look with her brother, trying to say "I'm so glad he's not my mentor!" The black and orange she-cat padded behind the rest of her patrol members, she prefered to be at the back. Plus she still was feeling a bit tired, since she had stayed up all last night chatting with her brother, Crowpaw.

The sun slowly climbed higher in the air as the patrol finally finished patrolling the ShadowClan border, which had taken so long due to the monsters flashing past them and themselves pausing to make sure it was safe to continue. Tornshadow glanced far into the horizen, where he could make out the four giant oaks that was where the four Clans held gatherings. "Alright, when we near Fourtrees, keep an eye out for prey." he meowed. He knew that prey was strangely abundant near Fourtrees, due to the prey hiding in the large oaks for protection since the Clans had moved in.

Hollyheart nodded, keeping her ears pricked. Tornshadow was right, since the weather was getting colder, the prey would start to dissapear. It'd be good to start stocking up on prey, perhaps they could bury some for Leaf-bare. The black she-cat had heard that Thunderclan did that sometimes, so maybe it would work for Windclan too.

OOC:: Lol... it's mid-newleaf. xD
Tornshadow and his patrol were nearing Fourtrees, when a familiar scent drifted into his nostrils. Rabbit! Though WindClan cats were not yet used to chasing rabbits, and their bodies were not yet adapted, they were still fairly well in that category.He shot off just as a gray head poked out of a holly bush, and instantly the rabbit fled when it saw a large, muscular brown tabby tom pelting towards it.

OCC: Well shouldn't it be Leaf-fall? Since it's september now...
Hollyheart spotted Tornshadow running off. Flicking her tail to signal the apprentices to stay, the black warriors raced after him, intent on the rabbit that was ahead of him. She sped up, catching up to the tom. Just a little further!

Well, it will be greenleaf soon.. and it doesn't matter that much. It would keep us strong through the annoying winter and its sickness ahead of us. *shudder*
Tornshadow was nearing the rabbit, when he felt Hollyheart's warm breathe on his tail. He swerved his route slightly, allowing the black warrior to fall in step beside him, and continued on with the chase. His muscles riplled underneath his sleek, tabby pelt, and his paws thudded against the grassy moor.
Suddenly, Tornshadow was a heartbeat away from clamping his jaws down on the rabbit's haunches, when his hind leg tripped on Hollyheart's front paw and he stumbled to the side; taking Hollyheart with him. The rolled down the rounded hills and when they reached the bottom, Tornshadow was on top of Hollyheart with a shocked expression and wide eyes. His face grew hot and his cheeks turned red, as he felt his stomache fur brush against Hollyheart's. Quickly, he scrambled off of the black she-cat and stared at his paws in embarrassment. "Y-you should watch where you're going.." he muttered.

"Uh, sorry." Hollyheart meowed, half annoyed and half embaressed. She wanted to say back "Maybe you should watch where you're going too" but part of her didn't. The black she-cat had a tinsy smile on her face, but she flicked her tail toward the top of the hill. "W-we should probably get back to our apprentices." she pointed out, taking a couple steps toward the top.

Tornshadow only nodded and muttered something else but his words were inaudible. He trekked up the sloping hill alongside Hollyheart, but kept his distance from her. He didn't want her to think that he tripped on purpose, not only losing their prey, but making her fall with him in the result. As they neared the top of the slope, Tornshadow squinted his eyes in search of the rabbit, but it was nowhere to be seen.
