Bramblepaw dashed along the forest, his long legs pushing against the grassy ground. He liked to concider himself a pretty fast runner, it was mostly because of his long legs. "Hello! Goodbye!" he teased Cloudpaw as he reached the white she-cat. Bramblepaw pushed even harder against the ground, managing to speed ahead of his friend. Sometimes the brown Havana apprentice wondered why he ran so fast, when he wasn't in Windclan but he was in Thunderclan. He tried to imagine himself running along the hill tops, chasing rabbits. Bramblepaw shuttered. He prefered the comfort of the forest, the trees rattling above his head, the mice popping out from under tree roots, and the trees protecting him from the harsh greenleaf rays, and the cold leafbare winds.
As the apprentice neared the deepest part of the forest, he slowed down. Glancing over his should he meowed "Hey look!" the brown tom flicked his tail over at the Great Sycamore. He examined it for a moment, it definitly was the biggest tree in Thunderclan territory. It was also a good hunting place, many mice lived in burrows underneath the thick roots. Although there were a couple owls that lived up in the branched, but they were asleep right now.

It felt good to have the air brushing against her fur as she raced her friend. All of her worries and the stress seemed to melt away as she ran. This is what Cloudpaw loved, running. Having her friend come with her only made this even better. She had forgotten it was a race until she heard Bramblepaw's voice and watched as he passed her up. Not wanting to lose, she sped up, grinning widely. She loved a challenge.
Catching up to him, and then slowing down she looked at what he had shown her. She forgot how big this tree was. Looking around she stopped in her thoughts. This is where she had gone with Whitekit. This is where her sister had died. Usually the she-cat avoided this area. "That is one huge tree."
she managed to get out. Feeling a sharp pain in her stomach, Cloudpaw winced in pain. Her claws dug into the dirt and she tried to shake it off. Maybe it was seeing the spot where she had last been with her sister, or maybe it was because she had just pushed herself to run a race. She tried to keep quiet, but sat down and couldn't help but mutter an "Ow."[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Bramblepaw nodded when she she-cat mentioned how big it was. "It's called the Great Sycamore, if you didn't know." he teased, flicking his tail at her shoulder. The brown tom looked at Cloudpaw, he noticed the unease on her face, "What's wrong?" he asked, but she just muttered "Ow." Instantly the brown Havana's eyes widened, was she hurt? "A-are you OK?" he asked, worry and concern in the apprentices voice.

Cloudpaw's blue eyes narrowed at Bramblepaw as he spoke. He was teasing her now? Oh, she would so get back at him later for that. If his tail could have been a little closer, she would have bitten it.
She didn't want to worry him or say anything, so even after him asking what was wrong, she just shook her head. She was trying to brush it off as nothing. Trying to manage a smile she looked at him. "I'm fine."
she lied. But it wasn't stopping. "Something is wrong. I don't know what." Cloudpaw managed to choke out. She shivered, suddenly feeling cold. "Make it stop." she whimpered. The fear was deep in her eyes, and it was rare for this she-cat to show fear. The panic was controlling her now, and she couldn't stop it.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"We should get you back to camp," Bramblepaw pointed out, nudging the she-cat in the direction of camp. "The medicine cat can have a look at you then, she'll know what's wrong." the brown Havana tom was worried about Cloudpaw, what if she was starting to have kits or something. The apprentice could also hear the panic in her tone, whatever was happening must've been really hurting her.

Cloudpaw shook her head, she didn't want to visit the medicine cat. She refused to go there. She wasn't sick and she could take the pain. She glared at Bramblepaw as she was nudged. "Seriously? You are touching me? Do not touch me!"
her eyes narrowed. She didn't mean to be snappy, but she wasn't good at emotions. Especially pain. The last time she had been in this much pain was when Whitekit was with her, and that fox had come near them. She had tried to save her sister. "I just need to lay down for a bit." she said, another wince of pain raking her body. She buried her nose in his pelt, and hoped his scent would calm her. "I think they are fine." she said, after she had calmed down. With a sigh, she could have sworn she saw her sister smiling at her for a moment by the tree. Shaking her head she looked up at Bramblepaw. "Sorry to scare you, I didn't mean...." Cloudpaw stopped as something stopped her dead in her sentence. Her eyes lit up in amazement. "Bramblepaw, I think one just kicked me." she said softly.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

OCC: Bramblepaw= O3O
Bramblepaw's eyes widened as Cloudpaw said one just kicked her. What did that mean? Was it good or bad? The brown Havana tom didn't know much about expecting kits or kits in general (besides the fact that they are energetic and troublesom). "I really do think we should go back to camp." he meowed, not wanting anything else to happen to Cloudpaw. If she really got hurt, it wouldn't be pretty. Bramblepaw also didn't know much about herbs.

Cloudpaw rolled her eyes. "I'm fine. Your kits are fine. I just got scared and made it worse."
she said, assessing herself. Getting on her paws she made sure the pain wouldn't return and smiled when it didn't. "See all good. Let's hunt." Cloudpaw walked around and shook her fur. She wasn't about to head back to camp. Bramblepaw would get over it. Would their kits be stubborn like she was? "Come on you slow badger." she purred as she nudged him. Maybe she could just ignore what had happened. "Your kits are going to be the death of me." she teased. Were these kits actually growing on her? "You think I should talk to my mother?" Cloudpaw asked, thinking about how much her mother might be able to help her. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"I'm anything but slow!" Bramblepaw replied, puffing his chest out and lifting his head up. The brown tom walked along side his white friend. Since she seemed to be feeling better, the apprentice decided to stop nagging her...for now. The two were heading away from the Great Scyamore, the brown Havana tom was glad Cloudpaw was calmer than before, she'd seemed to be a little uncomforatble around the huge tree.
When the she-cat asked him about her mother he responded with and uncertain tone, "Well it would be good for you to let her know. She'd be very upset if you bore kits and you didn't tell her yet.".

Finally! They were moving away from the large tree and all the memories the white she-cat had of it. Her mood shifted a little, and she could relax. No more bad thoughts. The pains had stopped, and taking one last look at the tree she thought about her sister's wailing. Cloudpaw sighed and was glad she had Bramblepaw by her side.
The more she thought about her mother, the more Cloudpaw regretted that she hadn't told her yet. Hopefully her mother would support her. Yes, she had Bramblepaw on her side but it would be nice to have someone else...someone older. "Will you be there with me when I talk to her?"
she asked carefully. Cloudpaw wasn't afraid of her mother, just the reaction. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Hawkstar trotted through the trees, feeling relaxed as the wind ruffled his fur. He opened his jaws to see if he could find any prey-scent. Usually he wouldn't go out by himself like this, but sometimes he liked to be alone, and he could almost forget about the responsabilities he had. Though instead of prey-scent, a familiar cat-scent filled his nostrils and mouth. Cloudpaw! What was she doing all alone in the forest, especially when she didn't tell him where she was going?
Hawkstar quickened his pace to a sprint, and his apprentice's scent grew stronger as he passed an unusual oak tree, then finally made out her white fur through some ferns. "Cloudpaw!" he called out, slowing down as he reached her. "What do you think you're doing out here? Why didn't you tell me where you were going?" he demanded, annoyed that he couldn't trust his own apprentice to at least let him know where she'd be.

Cloudpaw was walking around, doing her best to get everything off her mind. Her best friend was dead, the father of her kits were dead. How would she be able to deal with this? How could she raise these kits? There weren't any other queens in the nursery, and though she guessed the kits would be welcomed, she doubted she would be liked too much. Shaking her head she padded further and further. She would let her paws take her wherever. Right now she just wanted to get away.
Unfortunately for the apprentice the thoughts soon had to stop as she froze and recognized a voice she hadn't expected to hear. Oh great, she had forgotten to tell her mentor where she was going. "I um...I."
The she-cat was at a loss for words. She felt awful now. "Sorry Hawkstar, I just needed to get away. I didn't mean to forget to tell you. It just happened." Sitting down, she looked up at the leader. "Everything is so messed up, I thought maybe coming out and just thinking would help." Cloudpaw quickly added.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Hawkstar narrowed his eyes at Cloudpaw and pricked his ears in curiosity and suspicion. "Get away? From what?" he inquiried, confused by how his apprentice was behaving. Cloudpaw seemed to be upset, Hawkstar reflected, probably because Bramblepaw died a few moons ago. "Look, Bramblepaw is in StarClan now, you don't have to worry," he meowed more gently, a hint of sympathy in his golden eyes. Bramblepaw had been Cloudpaw's best friend, and even Hawkstar himself felt sorry for her.

Cloudpaw looked up at her mentor and sighed. Should she tell him? Could she? Would he treat her different? The questions swarmed her head as she thought. He would have to find out eventually. She looked around, trying to focus her gaze on something else.
But how could he say that losing Bramblepaw was going to be okay? It wasn't. "He was my best friend, he was the only one who would talk to me!"
she mewed, raising her voice. But she quickly lowered her gaze to the ground. "That's not the problem, though." she said softly. She wished Bramblepaw dying was the problem, it was only part of it. He had left a part of him with her. "He may be in StarClan, but his kits aren't." Cloudpaw said, glancing back up at Hawkstar. Might as well tell him...he was the leader after all.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

For a moment, Hawkstar thought that Bramblepaw was why Cloudpaw was so upset, but when she finished, his eyes widened and the fur along his shoulders rised. "His kits?! What?! Who is bearing his kits?!" he bristled, shock planted right on his face.
How could an apprentice so young have mated with another apprentice? Was the she-cat an apprentice at all? Were they even in ThunderClan? Hawksar's mind reeled as he glared down at Cloudpaw, waiting for an answer.
