That was exactly the reaction Cloudpaw had expected to get. It was full of emotions Cloudpaw had even had herself when she found out. All the white apprentice could do was nod. He had every right to think what he was thinking, or whatever. Cloudpaw didn't have a mother, and her sister was gone, and the only other cat she had loved was gone. Everyone that got close to her seemed to die.
Her paws shuffled as she couldn't look her mentor in the eyes. She had gotten this far, and knew she couldn't stop now. "It's me. But please don't tell anyone. I don't want them to hate me just yet. I'm fine to keep training. I promise I'm fine and can do everything I can to be a warrior."

For a long time, Hawkstar said nothing, instead he kept his gaze fixed on Cloudpaw, his apprentice. It seemed as though Cloudpaw was lying, but as much as Hawkstar wanted to believe that, he knew she was telling the truth. Finally, he let out a sigh, and the anger in his eyes were now replaced with sympathy. Cloudpaw.. no Clan mate of mine would disrespect you for what you did, but I promise I'll keep your secret. Sooner or later though, you're going to have to move into the... nursery." he meowed brusquely. Hawkstar looked down at Cloudpaw once more and shook his head slightly. How could an apprentice so young become a queen?

Cloudpaw could feel the gaze of her mentor hot on her fur. She just continued to look at her paws like they were the most fascinating thing ever. He wasn't saying anything, and that was making the apprentice more nervous than anything else. At times like this, she needed her best friend. He would have stuck by her side and helped her through this, she just knew it.
When Hawkstar finally began to speak she let out a breath she didn't know she was having. She just hoped he was right. She had never heard of an apprentice having kits before. How would the clan react to this. Cloudpaw was just glad he was keeping her secret.
Shaking her head she disagreed with that last statement. "I know I should, but I'm not moving into the nursery until the kits are literally being born. I am not wasting time, and am training for as long as I can. You won't have to worry about me. I will be a warrior, and I will make the clan proud."
Cloudpaw's eyes were shining as she spoke. It was all true, she wanted to prove she could do it all. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Though Cloudpaw seemed to regain her confidence from before, Hawkstar shook his head and his frown returned. You will do no such thing. You will move into the nursery when I say you will," he meowed sternly. Then when he noticed his words were to harsh, he added, "And that will be when you're around more than one moon expectant,"
Personally, Hawkstar wanted Cloudpaw to continue training with him, but she couldn't keep training untl she became a warrior when she had such a large responsability. Not to mention he felt awkward talking about kitting with an apprentice who happened to be his.

Was Hawkstar really telling her to do something like that? What did he expect her to do sit in the nursery and do nothing. There was no way she could do that. Cloudpaw was far too active and full of life to waste her days laying around. The kits would be fine, training with her would only toughen them up for when they would be born and soon to be apprentices themselves. It would be very hard to convince this stubborn she-cat to go anywhere but training.
Cloudpaw rolled her eyes. She was already past the one moon mark, she knew she was. But was she going to tell her mentor that? No way! This she-cat was going to continue training for as long as she could. She could ignore being tired, she knew she could. "How will this all work out? I mean, once I have the kits then what? I don't know how to look after kits, and there aren't any other queens. My mother and sister are both dead, and the medicine cat has disappeared leaving me in an awful situation."

Hawkstar thought for a long time, trying to figure out what to say. Finally, he opened his jaws to speak. "Cloudpaw, there's nothing you can do. I know you'll get through this, you're a strong one." he meowed, his mind reeling. Hawkstar sat down in front of Cloudpaw and gave his chest a few unconcious licks before continuing. "When the time comes, the elders may be able to help you. They've experienced the birth of kits many times over, so I'm sure they'll guide you through this." he suggested, his voice calm.

Cloudpaw wasn't so sure Hawkstar was right. Yes, she was strong she had to be. If she had fallen apart when her sister had been killed, she would have never been an apprentice. If she continued thinking that way, if she never became best friends with Bramblepaw, and almost mates, the kits wouldn't be. "I guess ThunderClan does need kits."
she said softly. This was her way of saying okay. "I hope you are right. I've already lost everything and everyone. If I lose these kits then the clan will think I'm worthless." her head hung low. Cloudpaw wasn't one to really express her feelings, but everything just seemed to spill out and it was becoming very overwhelming. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Hawkstar suddenly erupted into a mass of bristling anger and cuffed Cloudpaw around the ear with a seathed paw. No Clan of mine will think of you as worthless, and if they do I'll have to smack some sense into them!" he hissed. How could Cloudpaw so easily give up on her Clan mates? More gently, he meowed, "Don't doubt us, Cloudpaw. We'll be with you every step of the way." But at the back of his mind, Hawkstar knew that Cloudpaw wouldn't be so favorable anymore after she bore her kits.

Cloudpaw managed a smile and felt a little better. Her spirits were lifted by Hawkstar's speech. He really was a good leader, no doubt about that. Well this meant at least one cat in the clan had her back and would support her. She had the support of her mentor, who just happened to be the clan leader. That was a good thing right? She nodded at his words, relieved.
"Now...can we do some training? I would love to have some before I'm stuck in that dumb nursery all alone."
Cloudpaw had a sly grin on her face. This she-cat was always ready for training. Plus she had just managed to call the nursery dumb. Training would do her good, it would relieve her of the rest of the tension and stress and it would take her mind off everything.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Hawkstar hesitated for a moment. Now that he knew Cloudpaw was expecting kits, he could hardly think of training with her, or worse, setting a single paw on her. Finally though, he decided that he'll just have to go easy on her. "Alright then, let's go." he meowed simply, and shot off toward the sandy hollow, where the apprentices trained.
ooc;; Out. Of. Muse. Sorry. Lol.

Leafwhisper headed out of camp to take a walk. He wanted to clear his mind about everything that was going on. How can it be? he thought. The tom wasn't looking where he was going and bumped into cloudpaw. He looked at her and couldn't really talk cause of the cut that was on his throat but he can a little. Sorry cloudpaw, I wasn't watching where I was going he said softly. He couldn't stop looking, she was the gorgeous cat in the clan.

That was the answer the she-cat had been looking for. Finally it was time to train. If Hawkstar thought she was going to slow down or be some pampered queen in the nursery he was sadly mistaken. Cloudpaw would be the most obnoxious queen, and refuse to stay in the nursery. She already knew she would have to be forced to stay, physically. Grinning to herself she just would let Hawkstar believe he had won this argument. The white she-cat was hoping they would do battle training. Her paws were itching for some action. She was a fighter at heart, hunting was okay, but fighting was who she was. It was what she was best at.
Just as she was about to follow after her mentor she was rammed into by something large. "Watch where your-Oh sorry."
she mewed, after realizing it was a clanmate. She nodded it off like it was nothing. The tom just kept staring. "I'm not that interesting no need to just sit and stare. I'm not going anywhere."Cloudpaw retorted, her blue eyes rolling. A thought hit the she-cat as she watched Hawkstar head to the training hollow. "Leafwhisper, want to help me train? I need a sparring partner." This would be just in case Hawkstar didn't want to train her directly, if he was too scared he would hurt her. Having someone who didn't know her secret could be a good thing. "Come on, follow us to the training hollow!" the white she-cat called to the tom and following after her mentor.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

He shook his head lightly and then herd what she said, Training? Sound like the old days he thought and followed the apprentice to the training hollow. I haven't been here since I was a apprentice. he said. He went over to a pine tree and stared at it. I remember when Fadedstripe ran up this tree cause someone yelled badger he said chuckling.

Hawkstar sat off by the side of the sandy hollow in silence, listening to Cloudpaw and Leafwhisper. He twitched his tail impatiently and called, "Are you two going to gossip all day like a pair of elders or are you going to begin the training session?" Leafwhisper would go gentle on Cloudpaw even if he didn't know she was expecting kits. Even Hawkstar noticed how he acted toward the pretty white she-cat.

Cloudpaw turned back as she heard Leafwhisper speaking again. She was glad the the tom had followed, it meant she wasn't alone with her mentor. Not that being alone with Hawkstar was bad, she just knew the whole kit talk would be over now. He had promised not to say anything. "Well some of us still are apprentices and have to come here."
she purred. Laughing as he reminisced his days as an apprentice, she wondered what the tom was like back then. "Pfft, I could so fight off a badger. I would win and we could have the badger meat for the whole clan to eat on!" The white apprentice boasted. She jumped a little at the sound of Hawkstar's impatient voice. "I would begin the training session if I knew what I was doing. I was waiting on your instruction." Cloudpaw said cheekily. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
