The sun was just rising and Amberfrost had already caught a rabbit and two squirrels. She placed them on the fresh-kill pile adn took a plump vole for herself. She was thinking about what she could do around the camp.
After cleaning out the elders' den with an apprentice, and catching fresh moss for the queens, she still didn't know what else to do, even though she knew there was a ton to get done. The cats in camp rushed about, leaving her behind in a haze of unresting pelts. The sun was growing higher and higher in the sky, and she felt unaccomplished.
She saw someone move towards her out of the corner of her eye. SHe smiled brightly and sat down, wrapping her tai laround her paws. "Hello."

Hawkstar smiled in greeting as he padded toward Amberfrost. He had originally planned to assign her to sunhigh patrol, but now he felt like going on a hunt with someone he cared for. Hello to you too, Amberfrost," he greeted poitely, his muscles handsomely defined as he sat down beside the pretty she-cat.
"Say, are you up for hunting right about now?" he asked, ear flicking in anticipation. Though he knew that in the end, Amberfrost would say yes even if she actually didn't want to. That's what happened when you were the leader of a Clan. Your word is law, and anything you ask a Clan mate will be considered as an order. Sometimes Hawkstar was annoyed by that, and wished that his Clan mates would for once tell the truth about their opinion.

It was around sunhigh and Amberfrost was itching to do something. She'd almost asked Hawkstar if she could join the other cats on the sunhigh patrol embark on the journey around the territory, but had missed him in the bustle of cats. Plus, if he'd wanted her to go, he would've told her.
She smiled once more when he asked her to hunt. She didn't know the leader personally, but she wanted to. He seemed so kind and gentle, and fun. He was also the handsomest cat in the Clan, and that was saying something. Amberfrost didn't feel like she was obligated to say yes, because she really wanted to hunt with him, despite already catching about four cats dinner.
The sun moved slightly up above the treeline, making Amberfrost's fur glisten brilliantly. "I would love too!"Thank StarClan! I might've gone crazy had I nothing to do. And now I get to go hunting with Hawkstar! Amberfrost nodded and stood up. "So, where to?"

Hawkstar Be my girl and I'll be your guy
Hawkstar opened his jaws to reply, but no words came out. Instead, he stood staring at Amberfrost's glistening, silver spotted pelt as the sun's rays shone down upon her. Indeed, Amberfrost was a very lovely she-cat. She was one of the most beautiful she-cats in the Clan, along with Hazelbrook and a few others. Realizing that he must've looked rude to stare like that, he blinked a few times and almost forgot if she had said yes or now. But the excitement in Amberfrost's eyes told him that she'd said yes.
"Well, maybe we can head over to the Great Sycamore," he suggested thoughtfully, his own tabby pelt warming under the sun. He imagined that there would be no prey at the destination he'd chosen, and the look of disappointment on Amberfrost's face. It was awfully strange, with the scarcity of prey. It was the beginning of a warm green-leaf, but this season didn't look as promising as the last, or any of them after SkyClan left the forest. Hawkstar shuddered, remembering the look of dismay on each SkyClan cat's faces as they left and never turned back.
No doubt, we were made for each other

Amberfrost soaked up the sun, oblivious to Hawkstar's staring. When he mentioned the Great Sycamore, she light up and nodded. She loved the Great Sycamore, mostly because she thought it seemed so tall and confident, and in her mind, confidence was a proficient trait to have. She pictured the huge tree swaying in the wind, it's leaves gently brushing one another as it moved side to side, giving off the aura of security.
The she-cat blinked and focused on Hawkstar's suggestion rather than her frequent day-dreams. She returned her consciousness to the tom in front of her just as he shuddered. She didn't ask him what was wrong in case it was private, but she thought he might be remembering the day SkyClan left, for it had been on her mind lately as well. The look on their faces as their own kind left them behind in their own selfishness...
"Sounds good. But there's just one thing I have to do first..." Before he could ask her what it was, she was off, running through camp and into the ravine. She turned to see if he would follow her before she went any farther.
OOC: That would be awesome... Amberfrost enjoys having fun XD

Hawkstar immediately pushed the worried look off his face when Amberfrost seemed to have notice it, and he regained his cheerful attitude. He perked her ears when Amberfrost said she needed to do something, but before he could ask, she suddenly dashed off toward the camp entrance. "Wha - hey, wait!" he growled playfully, his eyes narrowed and his lips drawn back in a fake, angry face.
Tensing his muscles, the huge, muscular tom pelted after the pretty silver she-cat, massive paws thudding against the ground with each pawstep he took as he neared the entrance to the camp. He swiftly pushed through the gorse tunnel and heaved himself up to stand beside Amberfrost. "As your Clan leader, I advise you to hurry up!" he taunted to fool Amberfrost, before he shot off and up the ravine. Hawkstar grinned at his own clever trick as he weaved through the trees, his tail weaving out.

Amberfrost blinked as Hawkfrost passed her. She smiled broadly, half because of his cheeky-ness, and half because she was enjoying a little friendly competition. "So, you think you can handle me?" she said, not sticking around long enough to see if he heard. Amberfrost began propelling herself up the ravine and through bushes. She used her claws for better traction, and her well-toned muscles for speed and agility as she hoisted herself over logs and under branches.
"As a warrior of ThunderClan, I advise you to follow your own advice!" Amberfrost shouted as she pulled up beside Hawkstar and lightly nudged him before veering a sharp right. The Great Sycamore was in sight, and she thought for sure she had won their little race. Amberfrost plunged into the nearest bush, hidden from sight. She waited for the Clan leader to come bursting through the trees and plants.

Hawkstar was panting by the time Amberfrost pulled up beside him, and he growled good-heartedly when she nudged him. Though supporting such a large, heavy body wasn't an easy feat, and the ThunderClan leader's legs were beginning to ache. But he would never give up.
Hawkstar noticed the Great Sycamore ahead, and when Ambrefrost vanished from his sight, he figured that she had fallen behind. Confident, he pushed ahead and burst through a linage of ferns and undergrowth, eyes blazing with determination as he landed roughly onto the sandy ground. "I win!" he yowled just as he was going to reach the Great Sycamore.
Notes: Lol, is she going to ambush him or something? xDD

Amberfrost smiled. Hawkstar looked so determined to win. Determination was another one of her favorite traits. Bursting out of the ferns nearest the Sycamore, she began thrusting herself up the large tree. She perched on a long, sturdy branch not too high off the ground. She looked down upon her Clan leader, and didn't look away. "Up here! Your pretty fast," She paused, and then jokingly added, You know, for a tom!"
She smiled warmly. So far, the day had gone by pretty well. She thought back to before dawn, when she'd first awoken. She hadn't expected the day to go THIS well. In fact, the day couldn't of gone any better. She wondered if the day had reached standards for Hawkstar as well.

Hawkstar jumped in surprise and tripped on his own tail, sending him to fall on his hind-quarters. His fall must have been quite hilarious to Amberfrost, and he looked away to hide the embarrassed blush on his face. Scrambling to his large paws, he looked up again and grinned. "And you're pretty strong, for a she-cat!" he retorted, a twinkle of amusement in his golden eyes. He usually didn't see any difference between a tom and a she-cat, and only referred to Amberfrost as strong because of the definition in her muscles, which to him, was quite admirable. Hawkstar didn't think that all she-cats had to be slender and long-legged to be beautiful.
Apprehension hit him in the face when he realized that he had just thought of Amberfrost as beautiful, and he blushed again. So what? He thought that Hazelbrook was beautiful also, but he never felt strange about it. But now, with Amberfrost, when she looked at him, a shiver ran down his spine. As of now, Hawkstar could feel Amberfrost's gaze burning into him.
Notes: Lol, the day has certainly met his standards. c:

Amberfrost smiled warmly at the tom. She blushed slightly when he called her strong, and turned away for a moment. She saw that the sun was beginning to set, and had an idea. The golden light was slowly starting to cast pink shadows across the sky, but it wasn't at it's greatest beauty yet.
"Come on up... I want to see something." She called down to Hawkstar. Amberfrost didn't know what it was about Hawkstar, but when she looked at him, or even thought of looking at him, she couldn't help but smile. It was when he gave her his warm smile that she was the happiest.
Amberfrost looked back at the sunset and sat on her branch, waiting for Hawkstar to join her so they could climb higher.

Hawkstar perked his ears in interest and crouched down, with a massive leap, he clawed his way up the Great Sycamore, keeping his tail straight for balance as he climbed higher and higher. Finally, he reached the branch that Ambefrost was sitting on, and when he followed her gaze he realized that she was admiring the sunset.
"Beautiful, isn't it," he murmured softly, his eyes sparkling thoughtfully as he too, stared at the setting sun. Hawkstar didn't possibly think that they could get a better view than now. But knowing Amberfrost, she probably had an idea formed in her quick mind, and he couldn't help but smile at her.

The sun was finally beginning it's long journey to it's dreams. The golden- orange light threw a bright pinkish red across the purple clouds, making the once blue sky appear to have purple and pink stripes. The light also reflected off of the cats' fur, making Amberfrost's once silver and black fur appear to be a silver- purple and black color.
The she cat nodded, but said nothing. he turned to Hawkstar, who was smiling at her. She smiled back and the two locked eyes. It was as if she were reliving that day over and over again as she looked into his two shining eyes. She felt as if she had known him forever, when in reality, she had known him for a short time.
Amberfrost couldn't pull away, and she really didn't want to. The she-cat didn't know what to say; this had never happened to her before. It was one of those times when she wanted to know what he was thinking. The sun finished setting, leaving only a dim shade of gold and pink in it's trail.

Hawkstar hadn't noticed that instead of the sun, he was gazing into Amberfrost's eyes. There wasn't much of a difference though; the sky's colors reflected off her dazzling amber eyes, and it looked at though the sunset was in her gaze instead of the sky. He said nothing, and his smile faltered a bit, while his tail tapped silently on the massive tree branch in content.
Snapping back to reality, he frowned and quickly turned his face away, fixing his gaze to his paws as if they were the most interesting thing in the world. His tail stopped tapping, and was now kept close by his flank. "I think... it's getting late; we should head back to camp," he meowed quietly, the redness in his face barely visible against the setting sun's light.
Hawkstar noticed his heart beating faster than usual, and a prickling sensation in his paws. Shaking it off, he turned and climbed down the Great Sycamore without looking back, carefully making his way down. When he reached the ground, he realized that it had been rude to leave Amberfrost without warning, but he needed just a bit of time to make sense of his sudden feelings.

Amberfrost turned around as if someone had called her name, then looked back at where the beautiful sunset had been just a moment ago. Amberfrost didn't know whether to smile or be embarrassed, so she curled her tail to her back like she always did when she was confused.
Amberfrost thought it out for a second and realized what had just happened. After giving Hawkstar a second to come to the same conclusion as well, she hopped down the tree in a total of three hops. She was a mixture of hurt, surprise, anger, and amazement.
She cocked her head upon landing. "What... was that? It was going so well... then you... left me up there like I was a flea you couldn't wait to get rid of..." Amberfrost didn't know what to say exactly. She didn't know if she was more hurt than angered, or more amazed than surprised. What was going on?!. she thought. But Amberfrost already knew.
