Hawkstar felt so assured by Amberfrost's promise that he didn't ask any more questions. Instead, he rasped his tongue in between her ears, closing his eyes in content. He couldn't ask for anything better at that moment besides being with Amberfrost.
He glanced up at the sky for a moment and to his dismay, the moon was already going down. He knew that they would have to leave for camp soon, but he wanted to stay like that, embracing Amberfrost in his arms, for moons. Sighing, he parted from her and reluctantly rose to his paws, shaking the dust out of his long fur. "We should go back to camp now," he meowed softly, leaning down and nuzzling Amberfrost's cheek.

Amberfrost closed her eyes and smiled when he rasped his tongue between her ears. She knew she had made the right choice that day to go hunting with Hawkstar. She thought about what would've happened had she actually said no, or had Hawkstar not asked her. She didn't dwell on the thought because she knew it wouldn't have led to something as wonderful as being Hawkstar's mate.
When he finally stepped off of her, the wind pressed into her fur, making her remember it was colder when Hawkstar wasn't standing over her in a tight embrace. She looked at Hawkstar before he nuzzled her cheek, the expression on her face clearly content. She didn't want to leave that sacred place in the middle of the woods, and she vowed she would remember that exact spot. The way the treeds were arranged, the way the plants sat next to each other.
Amberfrost softly padded over to an especially tall, beautiful tree, and clawed the bark in two vertical rows of three. She did it again to the tree next to it, and then headed back over ot Hawkstar. "Thanks for today. I couldn't have wished for a better one." she pressed her fur into Hawkstar's and wrapped her tail around his as if to say thanks. It was true. She couldn't have wished for a better day, because today was already perfect. Amberfrost had some sort of new energy, and she knew it was because of Hawkstar.
Notes: AWWWWW!!!! THEY'RE SO CUTE TOGETHER!!!! xD Btw, she clawed the tree because she wanted to remember exactly where they were when he asked her to be his mate, 'cuz she's sentimental like that x3 Tags:

Hawkstar watched as Amberfrost padded over to a somewhat unusual tree and made claw marks on it, along with the tree next to it. He narrowed his eyes in a questioning expression for a moment, but it vanished as soon as his mate returned to him. He purred and curled his tail around Amberfrost's when she did it to his. He chuckled at her comment and licked her ear affectionately. "Don't thank me, thank yourself for choosing to hunt with me today," he smiled.
One thing about Hawkstar's smiles was that they made you feel so happy and warm. Barely being the size of an immature badger made you want to jump into his arms and stay like that forever. Most Clans thought poorly of his friendliness, they thought of it as soft and weak. But Hawkstar only treats his Clan mates that way. If someone offends him or his Clan at a gathering or anywhere else, he wouldn't be afraid to hsow his anger.
Hawkstar was still curious on why Amberfrost made the clawmarks in those trees. He turned to look her in the eye, his own eyes sparkling with interest. "Say, why'd you claw those trees back there?" he asked, casting an interested glance over his shoulder back to the place where they were just at.

Amberfrost liked Hawkstar's laugh. It made her feel warm inside, and it was so genuine. It was very easy for the pretty she-cat to tell when someone was laughing because they had to or if they really wanted too. She looked at her mate, a cheeky look in her eye. "Well, saying 'Thanks, Hawkstar' is better than saying 'Thanks, Amberfrost'. Plus, you made the day fun. I just agreed to it." she joked, lightly nudging Hawkstar.
Amberfrost looked back at the tree as well, and then looked back at Hawkfrost. She laughed softly. "Because I wanted to remember it. I wanted to remember the exact spot you asked me to be your mate. The exact spot you tackled me. The exact spot you were officially mine.' Amberfrost was sentimental, and everytime she walked by that one particular tree, and the smaller tree next to it, she would think of Hawkstar, and when he asked her to be his.

Hawkstar laughed and nudged Amberfrost in return, gently though, so he didn't actually knock her over with his larger body. He followed her gaze back to the two particular trees behind them, and the locked eyes with her when she looked up at him again.
Hawkstar raised a brow, and suddenly felt mouse-brained. Why hadn't he thought of something like that? Determined to make it count, Hawkstar turned around and dashed back to the clawed trees. "Hold on!" he called over his shoulder. When he reached the trees, he found Amberfrost's clawmarks through the dark. Lifting a massive paw, he unsheathed his claws and swiped them at the bark. Three larger, longer, and deeper vertical lines appeared next to Amberfrost's more delicate, neat claw marks. He did the same on the next tree before smiling in satisfaction and running back to Amberfrost.
Reaching her side, he took a moment to catch his breath before replying. "Now we'll both never forget," he breathed, a grin spreading across his face. When he made the clawmarks, he purposely made his own larger. His large clawmarks would represent himself, and Amberfrost's would represent herself, so it would appear as if the two were lying side by side.

Amberfrost smiled again when Hawkstar nudged her back. The she-cat saw Hawkstar's changed expression just moments before he turned and bolted back to the tree. The massive tom gave the trees three additional claw-marks that were deeper than hers, placing them directly beside Amberfrost's. Amberfrost sat down and curled her tail over her paws, watching with a hint of amusement in her eyes.
When he finally returned, Amberfrost stood back up. She took one more look at the two beautiful trees before looking at Hawkstar again. When he said they'd both never forget, it gave her a strange feeling. Not a bad one, more like a fuzzy warm feeling. She didn't want to forget, and nor would she. Even if, for some unknown reason, things didn't work out, she would never forget. She would gladly look back to this very day in this very spot, and remember Hawkfrost's and Amberfrost's Trees.
"Good. I wouldn't be to happy if we did." she joked. She stood up and started walking, expecting Hawkstar to walk with her. ThunderClan was probably going insane without their leader right now. She wouldn't be to surprised if a search patrol found them any time soon. But she hoped it wouldn't. She just wanted to walk back to her Clan with her mate, not a whole patrol of cats.
