((oops)) Huskykit laughed until she heard Squirrelkit coughing. "Squirrely, are you OK?" she asked, getting off the smaller kit. When Squirrelkit didn't stop, she grabbed the sickly kit by the scruff of her neck, and placed her on her paws. "Come on Squirrelkit, snap out of it!" Huskykit cried, fear gripping her. She began trying to help get the dirt out of Squirrelkit, by rubbing her back like her mother showed her. (("her mother" is Huskykit's mother, Wintersnow))

Frostheart padded out of the warriors' den and headed straight for the nursery; where she knew Squirrelkit would be taking a nap. She poked her head inside to call out her name, but frowned in surprise when Huskykit had reached her first. "What's going-" she started as she padded into the Nursery, but then stopped adrubtly as she saw Huskykit patting Squirrelkit's back. "Huskykit!" she hissed, shooting forwards and gently grabbing her half-sister by her scruff and rested her by her paws, curling her tail around the fragile kit protectively. "Squirrelkit.." she murmured worriedly, nudged the small kit's back with her nose. "Huskykit, be more careful with her." she snapped. She didn't mean for her words to come out sharp, but she just couldn't help but feel nervous when Squirrelkit was playing with other kits.

Why did her mother hate her so much? Why couldn't she be like her littermate? Just because she was born smaller, weaker, and her fur wasn't as bright, she was shunned. When Huskykit spoke, the pale ginger kit attempted a smile, but it failed. She felt herself being grabbed by the scruff, and didn't struggle at all. It had actually comforted her for a few seconds. When she was plopped back down, she was trying to snap out of it like her friend had suggested. She felt powerless, and her body was giving out on her.
The comforting scent of her sister soon found its way into Squirrelkit's nose, and she began fighting again. She was lifted once again, feeling the same weightless sensation and suddenly she felt warm. Her sister's tail was creating warmth all around her. It took a few more coughs, but finally the dirt was out of her system. Burying herself into Frostheart she let out a deep sigh. It would okay now, or so she hoped. Though she was still breathing hard, the worst part was over. This is what she got for being small and trying to play. This is why her mother hated her.
Looking to Huskykit, she formed an apologetic glance on her face. She didn't mean to worry her friend. She bit at Frostheart's paw a little, despite her small size she had the sharp kit-teeth, to get her attention, and shook her head, trying to not get her to blame Huskykit. She got up again, ready to play, but fell over, weak from the coughing. Squirrelkit was showing her stubborn side and was determined to play with her friend again.

Huskykit crouched down as Frostheart came over, and scolded her for being too roughf with Squirrelkit. "I-I'm sorry Frostheart," she spoke weakly, tucking her fluffy tail between her long legs. She glanced over at Squirrelkit, glad to see that she stop coughing. She perked her ears when the smaller kit tried to walk over to her, but fell in the dirt. "No no Squirrely, don't do that!" the huge express her consuin over her little friend, going over to the faded ginger she-kit, and picking her up so she could stand on her feet. Huskykit didn't understand why Squirrelkit had to be sickly all the time, but she always have blamed it on Morningbloom, and Mintkit. After all, they were always scolding her for things she didn't do, and treating her like dirt.

Morningblossom stood in the nursery, swiping her tonuge over her long calico pelt. After a few moments of repeating this, she decided to go outside where it was warmer. So the sun could soak into her skin. The queen padded out of the nursery, keeping her head and tail up. She ignored her kits who were playing outside. The she-cat walked over to some large, flat rocks that were layed out in the sun. "Perfect," she meowed happily, settling down on on of the rocks.

Frostheart let out a breathe of relief as Squirrelkit stopped coughing, and when she nipped on her paw, she sighed and uncurled her tail from around the pale kit. "Please, be careful, Squirrelkit." she pleaded, her eyebrows turned into a worried frown. She knew that although Squirrelkit was sickly, the determined kit would always play with Huskykit. Frostheart blinked at Huskykit to tell him that it was alright to play with Squirrelkit.

Huskykit smiled as Frostheart nodded at her, letting her know that she could play with Squirrelkit again. "Thanks Frostyheart!" she meowed, giving the gray tabby her nickname. "Come on Squirrely, I'll give you a ride, and then we'll watch the warriors fish!" Huskykit chatted, her colorfull eyes shinning. Very gently, she picked up the faded ginger kit by the scruff of her neck, and pulled her onto her large back. "Off we go, onward, and outward!" the black and white kit cried, walking off with Squirrelkit on her back. Huskykit passed Mintkit as they made thier way into the clearing.

Mintkit was sitting in the clearing, cleaning her calico pelt. She snorted as the two kits walked past, "Why would you waste time playing with her." Mintkit asked, turning around to look at the other kits. She scrunched up her face in disgust while she looked at her littermate, Squirrelkit.

Huskykit turned her massive head to look at Mintkit when she spoke up. "Because unlike you, you selfish spoiled brat, I care about Squirrelkit getting the important anttention she needs." she meowed cooly, pointing her chin up. She winked her blue eye at Squirrelkit, a smile at the edge of her lips.

OCC: Wait Huskykit is her sibling right? Also as Mintkit becomes older she'll realize her mistakes and become nice "Shut up, Huskykit." Minkkit narrowed her eyes, the calico kitten frowned as she examined the two. "Look like you guys haven't cleaned your pelts today. You look like slobs." Mintkit stuck her nose up in the air as if she was better than the two.

((no, Husky is just a freind of Squirrel, but cares about her like a sister))
Huskykit lashed her thick tail, her brows narrowing down into a frown. "Well at least I'm not a spoiled brat like your mother is. My mother is waaayyyy better than your sloppy mom because she doesn't leave her kits for the dead!" the massive black and white kit growled rather playfully, licking her lips.

Mintkit just let out a soft growl, then the calico kit turned around and stormed away. "Stupid Huskykit, stupid Squirrelkit." she muttered, passing her mother on her way to the nursery.
Morningblossom looked up to see her kit stomping past her, "What's wrong?" she meowed, not actually caring it's just that that was what mothers were supposed to do, plus Mintkit was her favorite.
Mintkit eyes lit up when her mother asked a question, her frown turned into an a grin. "Huskykit was being mean to me!" she mewed, putting on her best sad face.

((pfft, Minty is a taddle-tale))
Huskykit puffed herself up as Mintkit walked away. "Squirrely, I know you can't really talk right now, but you should leanr how to stand up for yourself when your sister or mother is around." Huskykit meowed, turning to look at the faded ginger she-kit riding on her back. "Some day, Morningblosson will see what a great kit you are, and everything will be better." the massive kit said, then brighten her lips into a grin. "Come on, let's go watch the warriors!"

Frostheart was about to confront Mintkit but held herself back. It seemed like Huskykit had beat her to it. She rested her warm gaze on the black and white kit, and smiled. At least their were some others who looked after Squirrelkit. She felt a hint of concern prickle through her fur as Squirrelkit teetered on Huskykit's back. "Be careful!" she called out, curling her tail around her paws neatly.

Squirrelkit's ears flattened as she was scolded by the older kit. She was only trying to play...and to show both her sister and friend that she was alright. Being picked up once again, she sighed. She should be used to this by now, everyone seemed to enjoy lifting her.
Nodding to her sister, she would do her best to be careful, then again she didn't know what that meant. She blinked a thank you to Frostheart, her eyes shining bright with happiness.
Her paws once again left the ground and she was placed on her friend's back. Well, this was certainly a new experience. Hopefully she wouldn't fall. Squirrelkit began to think of the warriors fishing and grinned, maybe she could learn how to! She waved goodbye to her sister with her tail, trying to tell Frostheart not to worry with her eyes.
On their journey they met Mintkit and Squirrelkit instantly froze up. She began to shake with fear and she buried herself in Huskykit's fur. Mintkit was doing it again, making her feel like she was nothing. She was glad her friend was looking out for her, but didn't like that Huskykit had to deal with Mintkit all alone. Was she hearing right? She needed attention? Her mother had always ignored her, so this was news to her. Squirrelkit watched her littermate leave and go toward their mother. This only made the kit shudder again.
She wished she could stand up for herself, but how could she? They were far bigger than her, and stronger. It was how she had lived for the majority of her life, in fear. How could she change what she knew now? Hearing Huskykit's encouraging words brought the pale kit into a smile, and she blinked a thank you. She highly doubted her friend was right and that her mother would ever accept her, but oh well. Nodding once again, Squirrelkit was ready to go see the warriors.
