Sharptalon couldn't help but frown at Mintkit. How had she become so spoiled? "Well it's the truth." he muttered under his breath so quietly that no one else could've heard him. "Are you sure you didn't say anything to make Huskykit say that?" he narrowed his eyes supsiciously. He knew that Mintkit was lying, and it disappointed him.
Suddenly, a few mumbled words sounded from below him and Sharptalon glanced down at Squirrelkit with a surprised, but proud glow in nhis brown eyes. "Hm, it seems as though I'm right," he reflected, his face showing no expression as he glanced at Mintkit. "Mintkit, what did you say to Squirrelkit?" he meowed slowly, though his voice was a bit demanding.

Mintkit eyes blazed with anger. No mater what she said to her father, he always believed Squirrelkit, it was pretty obveous Squirrelkit was his favorite too. And what was she stuck with? A rotten mother that only liked her becuase of her calico pelt! "It's not fair!" she shouted, and surprisingly there was actually a hint of hurt in her meow. "You've always like her better." Mintkit mewed angrily, motioning to Squirrelkit with her tail. "And I'm stuck with a rotten mother." the calico kits voice was barely a whisper. It was sort of true, even though Morningblossom did like her the best, she still was kind of mean. Sometimes Mintkit felt like the only thing she was important for was her stupid pelt.
Not being able to stand it anymore, Mintkit stormed off. Her paws stomping on the ground, the kitten just wanted to leave. Yes she was pretty mean, but that's how she'd been raised, to show no kindness. Her mothers demanded the kit be just like her, but that was near impossible. The calico kit felt frustrated, she didn't exactly like being mean all the time. But it seemed to be the only way she could get praised (from her mother).

Sharptalon's eyes widened. "You know that's not true!" he retorted, his fur bristling in shock, thought Mintkit was already stalking away from him. Hee instantly regret thinking such things of Mintkit, and the angry gleam in his eyes vanished to show only sorrow. Suddenly, anger boiled up inside him again, but not directed at Mintkit, but at Morningblossom.
"You!" he hissed, rounding on the she-cat who was once his mate. "This is all your fault! If you hadn't been such a cruel mother, then Squirrelkit would be strong right now and Mintkit would actually feel important for once!" Sharptalon's brown eyes were blazing with rage and his lips were drawn back in a snarl. He didn't know how he had suddenly became so angry, but there was no stopping him now.

Huskykit let out a happy yowl as she danced around Squirrelkit. "Squirrely said her first words! She did she did!" she sang, hoping around the smaller kit. She suddenly stopped when Sharptalon growled at Morningblossom, her black and white fur brislting. "H-Hey! Don't fight when there are kits watching you morans!" Huskykit shouted at the adults, knowing she was going to get a scolding from her own mother later. But she wasn't going to allow two cats to break up again, like her partents.

OCC: Yeah! Morningblossom deserves this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Robinheart should come and back her friend up!
"It's not my fault I had three litters of useless kits!" Morningblossom hissed, ignoring Huskykit. Her yellow eyes dulled and narrowed. The queen took a step back, actually feeling a bit scared by Sharptalon's snarl. The long coated calico she-cat turned her gaze to Squirrelkit, who just seemed to be sitting there. "You can expect to sleep in your own nest, furball." she muttered, thinking it was only loud enough for herself to hear. She didn't really care if the others heard it, Sharptalon was already angry.

Sharptalon grew more angrier by every heartbeat. "Useless kits?" he shouted, fuming with fury by now. "You're useless! You're a horrible mother, and mate!" he snapped back, his eyes narrowed. Though when he caught Morningblossom's sharp mutter, and took a step forward, leaving Squirrelkit behind to sit and stare after them helplessly.
"And you can expect no more sympathy from me." he spat, shoving his nose into Morningblossom's face. "I have tried, I have tried so hard to open your eyes and be the cat that I once loved." his whisper was hoarse and hollow, and for a heartbeat a hint of grief shown in his brown eyes. Though it didn't last long. Sharptalon's anger returned, and he whirled around to pick up Squirrelkit by her scruff and carry her off toward the apprentices' den. "Come on, I'll show you where you're gonng be sleeping in when you become an apprentice." he mewed gently, trying to make up for the scene he had just pkayed out right before nhis daughter's eyes.

Morningblossom hissed in annoyence as Sharptalon walked off with Squirrelkit. You can have the kits, they were never any use to me. The queen was very frustrated and she doubted she'd even be able to sleep. All those moons of having kits, and on her current litter she thought that she might've found one that was actually useless. But it turned out that Mintkit was just as mouse-brained as the rest. I can't wait for them to become apprentices, then I won't have to deal with thier ugly pelts anymore. The calico queen stormed off from the place she'd been fighting with Sharptalon. Who needs a mate like that anyway. Though, the she-cat couldn't help but feel as if she'd lost something. There was an empty part in her heart, or a hole. The place were Sharptalon used to be. Forget, he's worth nothing.

Once again, opening her mouth and saying something had led to something awful happening in her life. Pressing herself against the floor, the little kit just wanted to escape. Her sister was mad at her, her mother hated her, and she would never be normal. The kit was shivering in fear, and all she could do was sit back and watch her parents argue.
Neither one were letting down, and they just continued. Breathing soon became hard for her as she saw what she had done. Squirrelkit's lungs had always been her biggest problem, well other than her size, and now that she was upset they were starting to act up again. She wheezed a little, trying to get them to fill with air, and soon coughed. She managed to make herself stop after a few moments, and still had a horrified expression as she watched her parents. When Sharptalon left her sitting alone, she curled up, covering her face with her paws and tail.
Now she was sleeping in her own nest again. Even though her mother was cruel, she was at least warm. How was she suppose to survive the night when it got cold? Squirrelkit knew she couldn't stay with her father in the warrior's den, or spend the night in the apprentices den just yet. As she was thinking, she felt herself be lifted into the air. Going limp in her father's mouth she tried to look excited about seeing the apprentices den, but she was still scared. And then...there was also the added thing where she may not survive to being an apprentice.

Sharptalon felt Squirrelkit's fear linger in the air heavily, and he felt a pang of guilt. Setting her down a few fox-lengths near the apprentices' den, he felt apprehension prickle through his fur. "I'm sorry, Squirrelkit. I know you must feel that this is your fault, but I promise it's not." he murmured, trying desperately to lift his daughter's spirits. "I'll try to be with you during any spare time I get, and you have Huskykit to be with you when I'm away." he soothed, rasping his tongue across Squirrelkit's ear.
Sharptalon knew Squirrelkit couldn't join him in the warriors' den - since her mother had declared that she slept in her own nest - but maybe he could be with her in the medicine cat den. Then again, he didn't want to burden Aspenfrost. Sharptalon drew in a sharp breath, recollecting what he had said to Morningblossom, then sighed sadly. "What am I supposed to do?" he asked Squirrelkit in a quiet whisper.

Huskykit gasped in shock as Sharptalon claimed he, and Morningblossom were no longer mates, both going thier serpart ways. "Sharptalon!" she called after the tom, following him to the apprentice den. "Are...are you OK Sharptalon? T-That was some fight..." her voice trailed off as she looked at the ground, then back to the gray tabby. "What just happened?!" Huskykit burlted out, sitting down with a loud "whump".

Sharptalon jumped when Huskykit's voice sounded from behind him, and he wrapped his tail around Squirrelkit as he turned around to face the fluffy kit. "Er, I'm f-fine." he replied calmly, trying to ignore the emptiness in his heart. He was startled by the young kit's question, and wasn't prepared to explain what went down between him and his ex-mate. "Well.. it's complicated. Me and Morningblossom just had a little arguement, that's all." he meowed slowly, trying not to upset Squirrelkit again by reminding her of the fight he had with Morningblossom.

Huskykit pinned her ears back with a quiet glance at the ground. "...Sharpstlon," she started, looking back at the gray tabby. "Can...I ask you something?" the large she-kit meowed, raising a big white paw at the warrior. "Something important?"

Sharptalon hoped he had not confused Huskykit, when she suddenly looked up at him. "S-something important?" he echoed, his whiskers twitching in curiosity. What did this kit want to ask him? He glanced around briefly, before finally saying, "Sure." By then his pelt was itching to know what Huskykit wanted to ask, but he couldn't help but feel apprehension mong the curiosity. Was it about Crabtalon?

"You won't jump off the gorge will you?!" Huskykit burtled out, looking down at the ground. "...I'm sorry, its just...I miss my dad..." the large she-kit meowed sadly, no longer sounding like her cheerful self at all. She was glad her mother wasn't around, knowing Wintersnow always acted up at the mention of Crabtalon's death.

Sharptalon was shocked by Huskykit's question and suddenly pulled her off to the side of the apprentices' den, so that Squirrelkit wouldn't overhear their conversation. "What? Why would I jump off the gorge?!" he hissed, though his voice wasn't angry - but instead surprised. When Huskykit mentioned Crabtalon, his incredulous gaze softened, and he gave the kit's ear a comforting lick. He didn't know what to say, and the only thing he could think of was, "Why don't you go back to your mother? She's probably worried sick, since you were in the clearing for a while now." Sharptalon wasn't good with cheering up cats who've lost loved ones, especially when they killed themselves.
